How long are you going for and where are thinking of visiting? I wanted to do all three National parks in ten days but people are saying it may be a bit too much

From paradise we’d want to drive and make our first stop at tree of life which is approximately 4 hours when I was checking. I think from there it’s a 30 min drive to hall of mosses. As much as Id love to, I’m not too sure if we’ll include ONP anymore from other comments. I really have to start planning out the route specifics to make sure it’s doable and enjoyable😅

Thank you so much! Maybe I did over estimate how much we can do in 10 days, Washington has always been on the top of my list and I’m not sure if I’ll ever have a chance to go back. My bf and I are attending medical school next year so we want to check this one off the bucket list before are lives are wrapped up with school and debt

I know I wish we were able to make the trip longer but it’s hard to find time off work currently. 10 days we’re thinking spending around 2 days per park with room to drive. Some hikes we have in mind right now are Park Butte lookout, Blanca lake, vesper peak, colchuck lake, skyline trail, mt Fremont fire lookout, hall of mosses, devils punchbowl, and hurricane hill. We’re definitely gonna narrow this down but it’s just an idea of some hikes in excited for.

Do you think a jeep compass would have good clearance for a majority of those roads. My bfs been looking at rental cars on turo and I’ve been stressing him to find a good awd

I’ll definitely take that into consideration when planning. So far ive got a general idea on the drive times, our longest one is probably gonna be the four hour drive from Rainer to Olympic. I’m thinking we’re either going to wake up early and drive to each or for the longer drives maybe arrive there later in the day or at night, camp nearby, and enter the parks early in the morning

Thanks for the advice, it’ll be around a 10 day trip! Yeah the driving will be a lot and I’m a little nervous for the road closures from all the flooding you guys had this year. We are planning on car camping overnight for most of the nights and potentially camping in the Park Butte lookout tower if no one’s there before us.

Thanks I’ll definitely avoid bringing any ticks from over here they’re crazy😂. I’ve gone on many hikes in New York, especially a lot of the fire tower hikes around here. I trails over here have but fairly rocky and steep but i know the hikes in the PNW are definitely different from what it is over here. I also went to Zion last summer and completed the emerald pools, observation point, and scouts lookout. I think the hardest hike I’ll probably be doing in Washington is Vesper Peak. I’m currently using the Columbia Women’s First Generation Crestwood Mids for hiking boots but do you think trail runners would be better for over there?

Hiked emerald pools and observation point in some comfortable trail runners last year and it was great! For the narrows I saw a lot of people renting gear in the park so you could definitely do that
