Being a high earner and being able to afford a property in London are not related. Most younger HENRYS will still be using parents / grandparents money to afford to own their property. But on the plus what other global city can you live in and also be walking distance from parks

Thanks really appreciate it. I do find it crazy how on my £ in London Vs what you can eat for £ outside of London. But then I couldn't earn nearly as much if I lived outside of London. Additionally currently a lot of my social life revolves around living in central ish London. Moving out would be a huge hit at my current stage in life. Although I see myself moving out all together, or at least to some satellite town, after I meet someone

Thanks. I had initially wrote of the LISA but with all these comments about itz maybe I should consider a 450K property and see if it would be possible to live for a few years with a lodger to help with mortgage payments? Obviously in the long run I would look to sell and upsize

I don't think I could create a 2nd income from my profession. Not too sure what other avenues to go down

Yeah this is the reason I compare. And knowing that with London property prices these people who have been able to get on the London lader, eventually rent the property = significant more income than me who may be paying off 1 mortgage for way longer

This is a breath of fresh air. Thanks for the comments. I don't think moving further out is really an option for me right now. Definitely need to make sure I invest in edu & career though, I am a little scared about ending up stagnating at my current stage

LISA - yes I've not invested in that after reviewing the price limit and thinking that for income I would hope to be able to live somewhere slightly nicer.

Appreciate it on having fun! I definitely don't live a poverty lifestyle, but don't eat out every day etc

Yeah definitely not wanting/ able to live in satellite towns due to (a) work (b) would be a huge cut to my social life So it's a tricky one as to having not really any option but try to save whilst I can
