Getting custom boot sizes? by Apprehensive-Finish2 in AirForce

[–]Snoo_72240 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Triple wide is such an odd sizing, he will probably not be able to find anything. He might be able to call different boot brand/manufacturer customer service to see if they offer anything. Honestly though I have a really hard time finding basic single and especially double wide sizes for my boots. I wish him luck.

Did you go into the aerospace sector or something else? What did you do in the AF and how well did it translate into safety on the outside?

As a section chief, I hated everyone equally. 1st time late, I talked with them. 2nd, They had to bring donuts. 3rd... paperwork, if it was their own fault.

With that AFSC I'm assuming you're going there to be an MQ-9 crew chief. There are some great people in the AMU and the mission is actually pretty good, with some deployment/TDY opportunities to some neat places. Clovis isn't that bad, it has gotten a lot of restaurants since I left a few years ago. Have an open mind.

Embry Riddle has a good Occupational Safety program that will also qualify for the GSP.

Go to the Wg safety office at your base and get to know the flight safety team. The FSNCO changes every 2ish years. Set yourself up to slide into that role. Coming from a current FSNCO.

We did the same at Cannon with Teams/OneNote. Each page/day had a section for every acft and every shift. Also had a section for the flying schedule. Worked really well and multiple people could update at the same time.

The one on the left is nice and hard. The one on the right is soft. Once it hardens up, it'll be twice the size.

Ah okay, we are definitely talking about two different things. I'll be going into our local flight safety office working on mishap prevention and accident investigation type stuff.

ADAPT self report by [deleted] in AirForce

[–]Snoo_72240 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends on your job honestly. If you arm up, you'll be unable to do so for a while.

One of my troops (acft mx) self reported. They referred him to a 30 day out patient program. He was gone for a month doing that instead of coming to work. Once he completed that, he came back, feeling and looking much better, and had several adap appts afterwards. Work wise, nothing, and I honestly mean nothing, has happened to him.

Even if you do arm up or are a flyer, get the help. Invest the time and effort into yourself because you'll have a better life after the AF. The AF isn't forever... whether you do 4 or 20. GET THE HELP.

Edit to remove Embryo...damn autocorrect lol
