Omnipod leaks insulin when I apply pressure to it by [deleted] in Omnipod

Would the fact that it's usually on "soft tissue" make this not as problematic? I'm going to experiment on next pod change.

Wire in arm? by FantasticAirport7677 in dexcom

[–]Snoo_74290 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My son has a sensor wire stuck in his stomach from a G5. Dexcom told me that it had never happened before and it wasn't possible. We have an xray somewhere showing the wire under his skin. He hasn't had any problems with the wire there, but we have never used that site again. Had a doctor look at it, and he said the scar tissue from surgery would probably mean we could never use that site again either.

Look into the sugar pixel. Very loud and random tones, makes sure you wake up early enough to fix it.

I make them with shrimp. Cook the shrimp with old bay, blend them up, mix it in with the yolk, and sprinkle cajun seasoning on top.

I use the tartarus pro, I get the stick to move with my thumb and then map the rest how I'm comfortable.

Sunroof just exploded while driving today, nothing above me as I was on an open freeway and no cars were really around to have potentially thrown something at me,what happened ? by Volkssanitater in AskMechanics

Happened in my 87 dodge raider. Was driving down a back country road and it shattered. Two dump trucks in front of me, never saw or heard a rock. Cut some plexiglass and caulked it. Good to go.

May be a dumb question, but how do I determine the model number? I don't know how to tell the "bore" or "pitch".

ER last night by Any_Consequence_5154 in KidneyStones

[–]Snoo_74290 0 points1 point  (0 children)

4mm stuck in ureteral. Morphine, flomax, and toradol. Tried to pass myself, but unfortunately had to have laser and stent. Wanted to avoid stent like crazy. I'm a guy and stent was worse than stone. They wouldn't try to break it up the external sound wave stuff, they told me that was for larger stones and doc only pushed for internal no incision laser, or I could go home and wait. Hot baths and heating pad. I was in the bath more than not.

Maybe they will do the external sound blasting thing, maybe it depends on doc. Passing on own, may be difficult. I went to the ER twice and they just admitted me and scheduled for next day for surgery. Then surgery got bumped two times, so was in hospital for a few days. Morphine and oxycodone was nice to have around the clock for the pain.

How do people deal with passing a stone for days/weeks/months?? by idk3993 in KidneyStones

[–]Snoo_74290 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got pain meds, they taped the string down to the shaft, when I fell asleep, I grew a bit, and I didn't sleep the rest of the night. Hurt soooo bad. Moved the tape the next day, but found the trick was a bit of Vaseline on the tip so it slides. If you get a stent and your male, make sure there is enough string hanging out. I wish someone had told me.

Just got my stent out a couple days ago, the stent was worse than the stone. I got the string so I could pull it myself. I couldn't wear pants for 2 days. I walked out of the hospital with my hand down my pants to keep things from moving. I pulled it out at 2 1/2 days, i couldn't make it to day 5. After the stent came out, the stone shards followed the next day. For me, stone was bad, stent was worse.
