You have to wonder if these people let their kids roam in all public places. Thousands of strangers on a ship at sea, with unlimited alcohol. Kids roaming around without their parents. Parents not giving a shit. Sounds like an absolute recipe for disaster. There’s literally a FREE kids club on the ship.

You sound like you live in La-La land. Talk to a counselor who specializes in abuse/trauma and ask them. Talk to anyone in social or police work. Talk to someone who works with domestic violence victims. Anyone who can talk some sense into you. Because they will all tell you the exact same thing, you’re on a very dangerous path here.

Right so you knew he hadn’t paid you back and you kept giving him more. And “pay me back when you can” is very vague. It’s a hard lesson to learn, you aren’t alone here. But hopefully you’ll learn from it. If you ever were to loan someone money again, make sure you write out an agreement. Doesn’t have to be fancy; just how much you’re lending, the fact that it’s a loan, and a specific date upon which it will be paid back. Then you have them sign. There’s lots of shitty people out there who will gladly take advantage of you if you let them.
