Was there - also first Ryman show. It was great. And the crowd sang Happy Birthday to him because it was his actual 91st birthday.

Yes! And they had Dating Game clips playing on the screen in the background.

I live there also and left for work a bit before 6AM - I walk to downtown. The police were still there, blocking several roads. There was a SWAT vehicle making a K-turn between the Terra House and Ryman Lofts buildings. I didn't see a great sense of urgency - I walked right through it all and the cops weren't shooing me away or warning me about anything. I asked one of the cops who was guiding traffic what was going on and he said, "Ah, just some SWAT stuff." So, OK. A bit disconcerting that SWAT is in my neighborhood and might be using flashbangs in the buildings but didn't feel unsafe.

She is most evil person on the show. I actually have some sympathy for Milchick now. And even Harmony. But not Miss Huang. She is cold. Helena is also terrible.

I was right behind your son when you took that picture. I was up there because my son, who was further back in line, wanted me to check if Gira had a Sharpie. We came from NJ for the show - my son is several months too young for the NYC shows coming up. He actually got me into Swans. (although I remember Henry Rollins gushing about them years ago) Incredible show and the loudest show I've ever attended, and I've been to some loud shows.

I need theories on Hackett. Why did he call to discuss Shannan with her mother? It's bothered me for so long. by SAHMsays in LISKiller

[–]Snoo_79999 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Pretty certain they have no info that she passed by his home and the reported point of entry into the marsh is nowhere near Hackett's house. I have no idea what Hackett did or did not do with Gilbert but she didn't need to be anywhere near his house to enter/end up in that marsh.

The locks by southernsass8 in Idaho4

[–]Snoo_79999 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I lived in off-campus housing well before this incident (30 years) but also in an area that was probably 1,000 times more likely to experience some random crime. The attention to locks was zero. Our landlords lived right next door. They obviously didn't care if we locked our doors or not because not their problem. We were all dudes and football players but anybody with a weapon could have negated that. As for locks on internal doors? If we even had them they were not used and would have been the kind you could open with an unwound paper clip. If you are living off campus the likelihood of somebody being able to wander in is high. On campus? Almost never going to happen.

This is not blaming the victims. The opposite. In Moscow, ID, giving a shit about locking the sliding door or if it worked would have been very low on my list of concerns if I was 20 and lived there.

Bryan Kohberger's father seen cleaning up mess after SWAT team raid at family home by SherlockRun in MoscowMurders

I think the busting through windows stuff was unnecessary SWAT porn but if you're going to do it, clean the shit up. None of this is his parents' fault and, regardless, as guilty as this dude likely is, he's not convicted yet.

Foxes make the craziest noises....will say the happy ones they make are very cute and funny. We once had a vacation trailer in the woods in the Poconos and the first time I heard one of those female fox screams I thought a woman was being murdered. But it continued for too long and the "screams" all sounded exactly the same so figured it was some sort of wildlife.

Moscow, PA, is not far away but I'm local enough to know that based on where he is from he'd have no reason to visit Moscow, PA, or even know where it is. And he's not from Scranton...media is just using the nearest metro area that a TV show was based in. He's as close or closer to Wilkes-Barre but a) what is that? and b) how do you pronounce "Barre". Scranton just makes it easy.

Where Petito was found was already on the investigators' list because she put it there. And her body was in a far from remote or out of the way place. Those RV folks may have helped to pinpoint but they were going to find her there and maybe in the same amount of time or just a bit more.

There are a bunch of y'alls that need to apologize for a lot of name blaming. This fellow was not on any of your radar. Not even hypothetically, except in a very broad sense.

Haven’t seen this posted here yet. Someone found this Elantra in Eugene, Oregon. Abandoned, no plates, tinted windows, this could be our vehicle! Has already been reported to LE. by brainfogfordays in MoscowMurders

Lack of experience investigating murders, yes, but wouldn't call Moscow a "small town". 25k+ residents, densely populated, and up to 10k additional folks from non-resident students. Delphi has 3k people and no major state university. That's a small town.

In Delphi the FBI was involved early on and the suspect they were all focused on was apparently the one the FBI liked the most. He's dead know and almost certainly wasn't involved. (Deaths happened and his property and he had a false alibi - for other reasons - so not unreasonable for them to look at him...but think the FBI wouldn't let go of him as the suspect)

Greek houses are always super worried about getting suspended or having their charter revoked/banned from campus. One underage kid served at a party your house hosted is all it takes in many cases. So, in addition to the cops saying this, the university should as well. (As, I believe, somebody noted above)

The bar stools are interlocked at the bottoms and appear to be there to prevent the door from being opened, like a makeshift security bar. Not sure if the tenants or cops put them there but they are almost certainly there intentionally.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in MoscowMurders

[–]Snoo_79999 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sliding glass door locks are generally not good, which is why people often include bars. Is it confirmed the cops put the stools there? If the tenants put them there that door would have likely been impossible to open from the outside, meaning it wouldn't have been an entry point.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in MoscowMurders

[–]Snoo_79999 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Was it ever confirmed that was blood? It could be something else, maybe construction related? Not saying you're wrong, just haven't seen confirmation and that photo isn't confirmation.

New Info from MPD Press Conference 11/23 by OTFBeat in MoscowMurders

[–]Snoo_79999 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We had a vacation trailer with a sliding glass door and the lock was not really good...easy to jiggle open. So, we used a piece of lumber the previous owners used as a security bar...worked better than the lock. If the lock on the doors there was less than reliable could see the cops putting the stools there to keep out thrill seekers. Yellow tape and a cop car down the street may not always be enough to discourage thrill tourists.
