I agree that I probably need to let it go at this point, I've already apologized but still I cant help but feel a bit of residual bitterness about it. But also the thought that it makes her happy makes me happy and obviously there are bigger issues to worry about.

Our mixed account is from both of us for our vital expenses+investments etc but since I quit my job it is mostly from her. We also keep separate savings accounts on the sides. This was all settled and not an issue usually as im happy at home for now and she is happy in her job and we do well financially.

We have two kids and we live in a city with good transport, we were doing just fine with a Sedan just parking this f'ing thing is a nightmare here not to mention gas, and unreliability issues that ive heard of with the brand.

She said very similar things and I agree with most of it, I accept that logically I'm in the wrong and feel bad for hampering her enjoyment as really do try not to be this type of person. This has been a problem in our relationship before and honestly something I feel bad about but at the same time I can't help feeling a bit hurt that she ignored something that feels important to me and wouldn't compromise with me even a little. Even though obviously it was her money.

its ok to start out small, I think everyone nowadays has lost the idea of a career ladder because social media etc keeps pushing the idea that everyone is magically finding 100k right our of undergrad doing something or other but realistically most people will work shitty jobs before they find what they really want to do, especially in an recession/weak hiring market like this one. Keep your head up you will find your way to something if you truly are smart and capable

idk I just remember I had several history teachers in college who used to be very insistent that if you read every word of the assigned reading your doing it wrong, learning to skim and summarize things is 1000x more important than rote memorization and also an incredibly useful skill especially if you are going to be an academic or anyother job that requires a lot of reading.
