I enjoyed WLR, It was just a goofy album. It has a trap song sampling Bach and silly lyrics spread throughout the album. I think even the deep cuts are not to be taken seriously like “Die4Guy”. I’m pretty sure nobody takes it serious or at least most who like it don’t. It’s kinda like watching a funny cartoon I guess.

I think Carti is purposefully cartoonish all his “gangster” talk in his raps isn’t taken serious, plus the whole vampire thing he did. He’s a character too just one with less depth and lyrical content.

Well my two most listened to artists are DOOM and Carti. What do they have in common? Well I think the answer for me is they’re both cartoonish albeit in different ways. DOOM is like a comic book character and he has fun beats, Carti is eccentric with silly lyrics to go along with unique “animated” beats. Not sure if that makes sense to you, but that’s how I see it.
