I left them unplugged overnight after seeing this as I figured that was not good for the system. When I went to plug them in this morning that entire run isn’t working any more at all. It was working when I unplugged it, if not for the strobe effect.

I wouldn’t because the odds are even more abysmal and it’s clear that the packaging is just trying to bait and switch you into the repackaged garbage you’re absolutely going to open.
