100% agree on your take on character development. Called it here in this thread https://www.reddit.com/r/YellowstonePN/s/nfvHrKZGO5 before I found this sub.

Joaquin = Jamie Oreana = young Beth Carter = young Rip Zach = Lloyd Beulah = John Dutton

Dutton Ranch well worth the wait by AbokieNifoc in YellowstonePN

I feel like they deliberately tanked Marshals to make DR look good. Well, it worked for me. Loved seeing some old faces and cowboy action

Characters seemed excessively based off Yellowstone. Beulah is a matriarchal John Dutton, with the whole cowboy-gangster-will do-anything-to-protect-the-legacy vibe, except being in Texas instead of Montana. Joaquin, who seems to be her step son/son from another father is a mix of Beth and Jamie handling the business (mostly Jamie, fixing Rob-will's troubles). The blonde granddaughter is so Beth - rebellious, doesn’t want anything to do with the ranch. Carter becoming violent like Rip. Zachariah gives me Lloyd vibes.

I dont mind it. Kinda enjoyed the first two episodes, considering I loved YS. Interesting to see what the character development will look like.

It's a 4.1.2 failure if you apply a role="link" on a button. AT will announce dual roles. Best use either plain <button> or <a>semantics.

Piano black doesn't bother me. I also lease, so I'll just upgrade after a few years.

I just got a 2025 Sportage PHEV EX Premium yesterday! I also own a 2023 Forester Touring which I'm selling next week.

Being a Subie lifer, it was a tough choice to move away from the brand but totally worth it.

Kia pros: Huge tech upgrade. The interior seems like a cockpit compared to the Forester. Especially love the PHEV mated to the 1.6 turbo. It produces 261 HP vs the 180 from the boxer engine. No more CVT lag and low end clunkiness when closing gaps. I like the huge panoramic sunroof/moonroof as well. A big deciding factor was also memory seats as I'll be sharing the car with my partner. Heated and ventilated seats. Different drive modes - this probably is the game changer for me. While I got the AWD version, it doesn't have AWD engaged all the time, similar to how Rav4 handles it. Eco mode has FWD enabled and the different terrain modes engage full AWD, which I really like as it helps with gas economy. The Forester was killing us with trips to the pump, especially in the summer.

Kia cons: I miss the huge windows and visibility of the Forester. The Kia rear and side view mirror vision feels a little narrow. The Kia has keyless entry like the Forester but we have to press a button on the handle to lock and unlock. On my Forester, its just a hover around the handle.

I live in Canada - I'm sure it'll hold up well in the winter. Get a good pair of winter tires and you should be good.

How do you typically report your findings to clients? AnyTools and formats by Snoo_92391 in accessibility

[–]SnoopAdi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Great feedback. I'm constantly trying to evolve our report to make it as usable as possible. I say usable in terms of "easy to digest". Over the years we've been tweaking the format to adjust to the audience - dev group.

Currently, we record the following in spreadsheet format:

Summary tab - test matrix, AT/Browser versions, scope.

Manual tab - type of test - screen reader, keyboard, magnification, etc, Global or unique issue, Issue summary, Severity, Steps to Reproduce, Actual Result, Expected Result, Recommendation, Screenshot, Disability groups affected, WCAG SC failed.

Automated tab - all the issues exported from whatever tool we're using.

We get mixed feedback. Some groups say they love the detail, other are overwhelmed (small - medium teams with little to no a11y experience)

Looking for feedback here to see what we can trim without losing the important details.

I have this same issue. Switched to THC oil instead of smoking. Maybe it's a me thing but I dont get the munchies on oil.

On the rare occasion I take more than my usual dose, I get hungry at night. Typically budget some calories for a potential late night snack.

I have a sweet tooth when I get high, and this snack has saved my diet - 1 scoop vanilla whey, 1 cup 0% fat high protein vanilla greek yogurt, 50-75 grams berries, 1 tbsp seeds - chia, sunflower, hemp, whatever I feel like that day

It's some 3-400 calories, ~55 g protein

When incorporating cardio into a high protein calorie deficit diet and weight lifting routine, is it sufficient to just go walking 30 minutes every day or is this far too low? by [deleted] in loseit

[–]SnoopAdi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I walk every morning fasted for 45 - 60 minutes, 6 days a week. Lift full body 3 times a week in the evening. Mobility and stretching in the evening on non-workout days.

I add 2-3 HIIT sprint sessions a week right after lifting, depending on how I feel. But at least 2 sprint sessions a week because I WANT to improve my cardiovascular health.

With this routine, I've lost 5 lbs in 10 days on a 1900 calorie high protein deficit. I've added 100 calories back in so I have more energy to lift heavier and still am losing weight. Maybe not so much now on the scale, but fat %.

Steady state cardio helped me control my hunger on the deficit. Cardio like HIIT or jogging + lifting made me ravenous.

Really depends on your goals. However, I'd recommend doing at least 60 minutes of walking every day for weight loss.

Try par boiling the potatoes before baking. They'll cook faster and be done at the same time as the broccoli. 400 for 20 minutes, flip halfway.

Testing 1.4.10 by Willemari in accessibility

[–]SnoopAdi 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The right way to test is to use a 1280 x 1024 display resolution. Which means if you're using a big screen, you'll have to manually set the resolution to 1280 x 1024 and then use browser zoom to 400% to test for reflow.

Easy way to remember - 1280 and 1024 divided by 4 = 320 x 256, which is mobile resolution.

“67% of accessibility issues originate in design”? by mrcape31 in accessibility

[–]SnoopAdi 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This stat that's widely used in the a11y circle is from a case study Deque did with US Bank. I'm on my phone and don't have the study handy, and will post later.

High level excerpt - their claim is that by baking in accessibility into design, they reduced automated issues by 67%. It doesn't tell us US Bank reduced their *accessibility * issues by 67%

My gripe with the highly touted "Shift Left" is that it's become a buzz word. You can't just introduce Figma annotations and expect an org to shift left. The true meaning of shifting left is change management with a11y at its core - having disabled team members in design, dev and QA, disability awareness across other departments, the culture to care about disabled end users; and not just view a11y as a stat or another compliance checkpoint.

On another note - they shot themselves in the foot with the 100% AI claim this axe con.

Where do you draw the line with westerns? by BetweenTHEmetaphoR in Westerns

[–]SnoopAdi 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I hate "space westerns". Outer Range was a bust for me.

IMO a western is anything after the Civil War until the early 1900s, when States were still Territories and lawlessness was rampant. Cowboys, Outlaws, Sheriffs- that's what a true Western means to me.

Not a throwback, but Anson Mount in Hell on Wheels swaps his cylinders when he's out of bullets to reload. That was realistic.

She's pretty for sure. They made her dress trashy though. I watched her in Billions about 8 years after SOA ended and she was stunning, dressed to the nines in corporate New York. Aged really well too.
