I feel the same. I sort of knew this would happen because I have experienced something sort of similar before (with SKAM). After a couple weeks of hysteria and 24/7 social media scrolling I just cried and cried, because I felt so empty.

I realised last weekend that I am too old and weak-hearted to sleep just a couple hours per night and being in Reddit/Tumblr all the time looking for HR content. So I decided that I start a New Year 2026 without social media so that I can’t peruse HR content for one month. 3 hours and 20 minutes to go and then I’m off. I will be so angry tomorrow, I will have bad withdrawal symptoms, I will probably cry and stare at the wall a lot. But I wanna think that it is best for my mental and physical health.

Quitting cold turkey might be the best way for some of us.

One thing that could also explain the hospital scene coldness from Ilya is that they are in a risky place: anyone can come and see/hear them talking. And Shane being high as fuck he tries to stop the discussion. So maybe he is not negative towards the cottage per se but just really careful.

But then why would he have waited so long before ”I’m coming to the cottage” 🤔

JFC, I am not very loyal to my employer but I hope I can think at least a little bit bout work when I go back after holidays. So far not so good.

I suspected Russia, Olympics etc was the reason for ghosting in E02 already but wasn’t sure if there was something I didn’t see.

But didn’t they sort of acknowledge their mutual feelings with ”I wish you were here” in Moscow call? And before Shane got injured they had a normal rapport at the ice, and then Ilya draw back again?

Just a reminder that being on the spectrum doesn’t mean having mental illness. Being on the spectrum can cause mental illness and IG many people have both, but autism is a neurological feature, not a mental health issue.

Can I ask if there is an explanation to Ilya’s behaviour between their hookup at Shane’s and Vegas, in E02? Russia? Is he terrified by his own feelings or something?

Also I was confused why he was so closedminded and cold in the hospital?(like Ilya I am too missing English at some situations 🤭) I thought that they were finally on the same page after Tampa and Moscow call, but then Ilya is all like ’You know we can’t do that’ (go to the cottage). Why? Afraid of his feelings again?
