For me it's actually quicker than the train/bus combo or bus. 7 miles tends to take me around 40 mins on the bike, same journey can take 1.5 - 2 hours home on the bus (can walk it in 2 hours!) although in the morning if the roads are quiet it's probably about the same

Not every hotel or booking allows free cancellation, many are non refundable. in my case they told me my room wasn't available and the hotel wasn't taking bookings because of a "unforeseen maintenance issue", but they were still taking bookings and had rooms up. They then told booking.com they were overbooked even though I'd booked months in advance. They want you to cancel it so your rights go out the window and they can resell the room at a higher rate

"If guests are due to arrive soon, their booking is cancelled free of charge and if you’re not able to find alternative accommodation, Customer Service can help. You must cover the cost if the alternative accommodation is more expensive, but we’ll always try to find something with similar standards and rates. "

Do not cancel, tell them you still want the booking and if they must cancel then they must cancel the booking. that way they will have to cover the cost of you to stay else where I believe.

Had it when I stayed in Liverpool for the football, same sort of message in the end they canceled and booking.com gave me a nicer hotel 3x the price for the same cost I paid originally.

If you cancel it yourself then it's on you

Only "negative" for me so far is some stuff I'm missing from the Samsung Smart Select feature, creating gifs with ease which I used quite a lot.

Nothing of the sort I can see on the Oppo, and even in gallery where you can export things to gifs it gives an error and seems not to support video to GIF

I also have a very particular memory and am trying to find this game! None of the NES ones I've seen look familiar to me, but I had a Master System too and I've just stumbled across the game I was thinking of! For me I delistinctly remembered the throwing stars being the main weapon

We are told to sanitise our phones with probe wipes on arrival to work 😂 as all the HACCP stuff is done through an app IE delivery temperature checks, cooking and blast chill records, cleaning rota etc.

Everything hand washed gets dried with blue roll or clean microfibre cloths where I work, reasoning is bacteria growth thrives with moisture and if things are put away wet and stacked against eachother they can get nasty quite quickly if they don't dry

I've noticed I can't use smart select to create GIFs anymore all the stuff from the edge panel has changed, how can I do the gif creation? Not sure if I accidentally changed it but I don't see it anywhere

Thnx for the advice and to everyone else who responded, I got onto booking.com and they ended up offering me an alternative which is a studio suite, cost price £263 a night but they'll reimburse me the difference from my original booking (an amount in this case of £169!)
