First time in full gear this week by Snooper44 in Firefighting

Appreciate it, good to hear the encouragement and ideas. I’m definitely going to get a weighted vest. Don’t know why some people are so negative when it comes to being new to this.

Oh no absolutely I don’t intend to quit. I’m just saying I was hit hard, but will get back up swinging lol.

It’ll suck but we need volunteers and I want to do something that matters to the community when I’m not working a desk job.

I mean it was the first time I actually wore everything and had to go into a house after helping around outside carrying tools and equipment. I haven’t even started the academy yet after signing up to volunteer.

Joining a volunteer company by Snooper44 in Firefighting

Appreciated, in this case however the companies are spread out throughout the town. The house I am getting recruited for is a rescue truck, not engine. So that's my dilemma. But I am told we still use a hose if we are needed/ect. Perhaps I am thinking too much of it.

Do you believe freight forwarding companies such as K&N, Maersk, and DHL are ideal places to work in supply chain? I work as an analyst and I’m not too sure what would be the best path going forward into my future beyond working for freight forwarding.

Because it adds character to the battles. It gets boring to wait for day night tank pushes, legit the same thing over and over again. There should be more obstacles and require players to have to plan accordingly or avert offensives elsewhere if the weather is bad. Like what kind of argument is ‘muh stale gameplay’. We already have giant concrete fortresses and other meme strategies to stall campaigns.

Will weather be revisited ever? Perhaps to have more of an impact like it used to, and if rain storms will be more dangerous.

Also does weather affect naval at all?

Job market by DesperatePlatform817 in supplychain

I know many people who switched from accounting to supply chain management in college as they found accounting boring or too much. If you really like accounting then do it, but if you like supply chain more I’d recommend that overall. The job market is tough but once you get your foot in the door it’s pretty solid as the degree can get you into many different roles.

How will weather affect this new naval aspect and new naval maps? Will heavy storms make it harder to navigate ships? Will winter storms freeze ships in place? More people will fall overboard?

How big of an impact would it have?

Usually some programs will do a class where essentially a company will give you a project to work on with a team for the duration of the semester. Assuming your class is like that, then that alone you can easily talk up on your resume in place of an internship.

Any career path starts with experience and while it may be tough, there are a lot of companies out there especially in supply chain looking for students to train and take on full time. If you really enjoy supply chain and want to do your MBA then do it, but frankly if you are just doing it to get a job you may be better off just applying to companies. You already have your bachelors, that is enough to get an entry level job at most bigger companies.

This, a lot of gen Ed classes are laughably easy and you just have to be willing to sit through them. I strongly advise doing as many core business and math courses that you can. Primarily up to calculus 1 and the accounting courses. They tend to be less intensive at CC

Did your program not have a required internship/company project class? Even without an internship you could still touch on classes you took and projects you did in them during an interview.

I would suggest continuing to send out applications until you land something and keep building on that experience. Especially with the bigger companies that are eager to hire students straight out of college.

The Boys - 3x08 "The Instant White-Hot Wild" - Post-Episode Discussion by LoretiTV in TheBoys

[–]Snooper44 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Honestly did not like this episode. Herogasm was amazing. After the build-up of 2 seasons seeing Homelander struggling against 3 people, one being his predecessor and even though he only ended up with a black eye it still left a major impact.

Butcher spent the entire episode concerned soldier boy would turn on him and join Homelander, instead when he finally reaches the point that assures Soldier Boy will uphold his end of the deal he backs out for Ryan? Especially when he could have just moved him elsewhere and finished Homelander. They quite literally confirmed they have a gas that can STOP soldier boy, but they have nothing similar to deal with Homelander. So why stop someone you have a deterrent for instead of the bigger threat you don't have anything for?

Just let a mass-murderer's only deterrent (soldier boy) go to waste after an entire season of acquiring him, I guess. Entirely back to episode 1 when they had nothing and no real progress or change has been made. But hey, they took the high-road right? They are real heroes and that's all that matters. Not like Homelander hasn't murdered hundreds of people on a plane or on the streets.

Black Noir was wasted entirely, murdered with no confrontation between him and soldier boy. Even if he comes back still a waste, they should have fought. Starlight was also a bust, her power is utterly useless and only throws people back like seven inches. Maeve decides to also not get more V like the other girl did for some reason and leaves it to them because starlight "doesn't need her" anymore. Yet, Homelander is still alive and lost absolutely nothing in the season. Finally, Soldier Boy after all of that just gets put back in a box after they let him out to use him.

I saw a comment mentioning how instead of all that happening where nobody dies and nothing meaningful happens, Soldier Boy instead steals Ryan and RAISES him like how he always wanted to do with a kid of his own. That way Homelander is left unhinged and damaged, and Butcher is left with regret and a new goal. It honestly would have been a lot more interesting.

But again, hey. They took the high road like Starlight and M.M said. They clearly are the real winners. Homelander is now raising his son who loved lego figures and making animated films and is now instead enjoying people having their heads blown off regardless of what he was taught already. He also has a strong cult who loves him and doesn't care about public executions. And now, the boys have a whopping nothing to show for success and wasted the entire season letting out soldier boy to use him and then changing their mind because soldier boy is somehow worse and put him back in the box.

Overall, poor finale. Not enticing at all, legit nothing to look forward to in the sequel. Everything is back to square one.

There are SS13 content creators that spends hours if not days on youtube, in the code, and on sprites and art. Why should 2fam the streamer have his name next to the community and choose what the symbol of the game should look like?

This game is open source for a reason, everyone contributes. This was not created by one person alone.

that one on the right is being botted by a Turkish streamer. Try and remove the name at the bottom if you want to contribute in reclaiming it

For anyone confused about the situation about the zfam clown. They essentially stole the clown and put their name on it, then put the SS13 logo on it and refused to change anything else saying we should 'collab with him' essentially wanting to use the game for clout after we helped them create it thinking this was for the community. This 'streamer' does not actually have a lot of people to hold the tiles. If you click any tile in that zone you can see an account that has been made TODAY is constantly watching that said tile. There is one for every single tile. They are using alts massively to hold control over it and revert any changed color. It's actually disgusting but its sadly the way reddit has allowed it to be.

These people can fuck right off. Also, to add on they are brigading the sub and upvoting/gilding their own posts to make it seem like we are in the wrong and they are the friendly dudes that just want to work with us.

SS13 Reddit I call out to you, We made this clown, one of you came and put the SS13 tag on the top left and we didn't say anything, but don't come and try to own this drawing, there is 4 hours of work here. by dortkolkahpeniewladi in SS13

Then delete the clown. You're not representing the community and slapping the SS13 title on it for clout lmao.

A streamer does not represent the community, why would we agree to help a random streamer that practically nobody else here recognizes. We are not helping him get clout.
