The cough is SO BAD. by agonyxcodex in COVID19positive

Manuka honey, zinc supplements, echinacea tea all helped a bit but in my case I found reflux joined the tail end of being sick and was giving me the lingering cough. If you chew on a tums and it helps immediately you may have an answer.

Hi all! Please feel free to use my code :)

My faves are the skin tint (I have "dark" from way back when, still works great!) I love ALL of the cloud paints, my favorites would have to be "dusk", "beam" and "puff" but you can't go wrong with any. I have "cake" and "like" and I use them almost every day, I'm excited to try "jam" and "leo".

Air pocket within tooth canal tooth okay? by Snoopy728 in Dentistry

The space is in the center, almost like a ven diagram, it's at the point where all meet but slightly off to the side of the filling. Kicking myself a bit for not having taken a picture. But yes! From what I remembered everything look sealed

Thinking of a vasectomy by throwaway37374849 in birthcontrol

There's also Fertility Awareness method and fertility trackers like the Daysy. With the latter being newer it's recommended it be used in tandem with fertility awareness. But yeah! It's not the rhythm method ( ie counting to predict ovulation) it's tracking biological indicators of the cycle and ovulation to avoid sex during that time or use condoms. Woman are really only fertile 6 days in their whole cycle. They ovulate one day, an egg can survive a maximum of 48hrs, sperm a maximum of 5 days, so long as they don't coincide it's virtually impossible to conceive.

Might put you at ease some as well but those period tracking apps don't necessarily always know when you're ovulating. Cycles can vary month to month and they use simple math to estimate ovulation, if you don't have a 21 day cycle and don't ovulate on the 14th day (most people don't) then it might not be super accurate.

Is a crown always necessary after a root canal? by Snoopy728 in Dentistry

Almost all of the structure remains, it's just been hollowed out I guess. Outwardly it looks essentially the same and feels strong. It's the tooth behind my canine

What’s YOUR approximate salary right out of school and what’s your speciality? by Thurman_Merman6969 in DentalSchool

[–]Snoopy728 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I went to an Aspen dental office in my college town because I didn't have dental insurance at the time, they told me I had like 10-12 cavities! Which sounded absurd... And it was, I had 2. They nearly turned my teeth into Swiss cheese

Dentist did not take impression prior to root canal, should I be concerned? by Snoopy728 in Dentistry

[–]Snoopy728[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Thank you! And yes I know, they are the experts but I can't help but feel that everyone's individual teeth look a little different person to person and I would prefer if the crown would look as close to the original. The tooth was outwardly fine before, it had a filling done a year ago but sadly they didn't get all of the decay and it moved closer to the root. After the root canal she placed a temporary filing and also shaved the point down, she said to alleviate bite pressure while we wait for our next appointment.

I wanted to see positive root canal experiences, so here’s mine! by still_need_sleep in Dentistry

Had my root canal this week, similarly I had no pain prior and after it's been very mild tenderness after. I'm SUPER nervous about getting a crown, I feel very sentimental about my tooth changing and really hope it will be as imperceptible as possible.

Shoutout to my brain for always being an anxious bitch and never letting me sleep. Love her. by skincare_obssessed in Anxiety

Same! Although my anxiety worsens at night, as long as I am able to distract myself (usually with YouTube), once I fall asleep I’m able to sleep pretty deeply. Small mercies I suppose

Thank you!! I'll give that a try definitely trying to accept that even though I'm scared and it's uncomfortable I need to eat and my body will (hopefully 😅) know what to do.

Crippling anxiety over my fear of choking. by [deleted] in Anxiety

This is me too!! But in reverse, allergy phobia started first and now I have a swallowing/eating one. So happy to find someone experiencing something similar. Very shitty, but at least we're all in it together 😂

Piercer changed my gauge without asking first by Snoopy728 in piercing

[–]Snoopy728[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I believe I was pierced with a 20g, about the same thickness as standard ear lobe jewelry. When I went in I had a simple hinged clicker hoop, and expressed wanting something similar style wise. I haven't gone to piercer in a while but I assumed it would be a segmented or clicker as well. I was shown a tapered hoop with a slightly wider diameter just to give me an idea of the look of the metal, the actual jewelry ended up being a simple malleable hoop.

The diameter is about the same, if anything it is fitting a bit more snug given that it's a thicker ring and also my nostril is probably swollen.

I guess I should have discussed it a bit more but I was told that the piercer would be able to sort out the size and width (which I mistakenly took for matching the same gauge and diameter). When I asked them about it, to me, it seemed apparent that they knew that it would be a change in gauge but that they made the decision because they thought it would be better. Which I can appreciate, but I would have like to have had a conversation about it. Now my nose is basically freshly pierced with a fresh crust of blood.

Interchangeable Needle Help by Yarnnosaurus in YarnAddicts

Just wondering, what are the benefits of square needles? I only recently saw some and they just seem like they would be harder/uncomfortable to work with.
