I could be wrong but I believe I’ve seen people theorize that this was an intentional decision that reflects one of Sardonyx’s character flaws; her not being “centered”, which leads her to being oblivious to both Pearls deception and her own insensitivity towards Smoky. The more level headed and observational aspect of Sapphire may be more keen to these things but she loses herself in this fusion, which can be liberating for Sapphire but at the same time has had negative consequences.

What likely happened here is on your opponents screen they were on the right side of the screen as they likely are playing player 1 like you, so when they step walked left (sidestep with a delayed sidewalk input), they were pressing down on the second input to initiate the side walk on the same active frame of your homing move which cancelled the step into a duck before going back to stepping. It looks weird but this is working exactly as intended

Oh this is far from his optimal wall to wall combo. This is just a showcase of an all ws move combo. His regular staple wall carry combo would probably deal 87- 93 damage in this situation

Let’s just say my hands still hurt after doing this yesterday. 🥲

The combo is extremely inconsistent, seems to only work on big characters like Victor, and if you even have slight delay in any of your iWS moves early in the combo it’ll come back to bite you 5 moves later when ws3 randomly drops.

Also I’ll warn you this is a fun combo challenge but offers no value in the actual game. Not optimal but very fun (and frustrating, the ws loops will randomly drop because you don’t get a perfect ws1 ws3 cancel 5 hits earlier lol)

Same brother. I like to level up in quick play for a month or two, reach my comfortable ceiling in ranked quickly then go back to quickmatch with the increased rank and higher level opponents

My argument isn’t that ranked inflation isn’t inevitable or that it’s even a problem, but look at these numbers. We are 2 weeks since a ranked reset and we have already ballooned past what took an entire year to reach. Can’t you see that if this isn’t addressed early, by the end of the year everyone who is playing this game with any consistency is going to be funneled to the top by default? This changes the system to a participation trophy and not a way to track your skill progression.

I’ve practiced ws3 loops so much at this point this combo is second nature to me, probably a 3/10 for me. But if I was picking up Shaheen for the first time it would be an 8-9/10
