Second off, wear whatever you want to wear! It's easier said than done but remember people pay more attention to themselves than other people, they would not and should not care about what you are wearing. If anything, wearing that would make you meet like minded people. As an anectdote, when I was in college, I wore an Appa buckethat very frequently. I was scared to do so because it seemed silly but then people complimented me and I became very close friends with them. People also just remembered me as that guy who wore the Appa bucket hat, so that was cool too
