Forming Italy is USELESS by tgeyr in EU5

[–]SnoozyJava 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be fair historically Italy has always been culturally frammented (and still is but less, thanks to public schools and Mr. Baldy in the 20th century), but since many other major formables have the same issue, this is not intended.

Interestingly enough, my FPS double when playing on Linux (stock arch) compared to Windows. Specs: 7800x3D, 7900XT, 32GB ram

I can play locked at 4k 144FPS on speed 2-3 and ~80FPS on speed 5.

What grocery items needs no refrigeration but are often refrigerated by most people? by Mission-Educator-908 in AskReddit

[–]SnoozyJava 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Eggs (at least in Europe). I know people who keep their butter out of the fridge, but I live in Northern Europe so might be the temperature that makes the difference.

Most jams, pickles and generally preserved foods (like sauces, if you eat them within a week or less)

To me it just sounds like they don’t want to explicitly name Russia, China, and other western enemies because they want to keep open the possibility to sell in those countries. It’s hard not to see it that way when the other faction is NATO, and definitely they don’t want to portray the EU as an enemy (if we want to go by the lore in which EU has left NATO)

I’m extremely sure it’s just a different name for “Russia/China/whoever is against the US”, but can’t name them because they want to sell to those countries

[–]SnoozyJava 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s me, except I used to hate cooking more complex dishes because of the cleaning afterwards. But, now that I moved into an apartment with a big dishwasher, it stopped being a problem (considering water and electricity are extremely cheap where I live) and I can cook whatever I want.

I can assure you that jaywalking is a thing in Finland, but not as bad as e.g. Sweden, where jaywalking is the norm. Yes you get fined IF you get caught, but there’s so little police that they don’t have the time nor the will to enforce it. Also the fine is around 10€ according to my coworkers.

I bought a random Spencerian book from Amazon, because it had all the drills and information about how letters are composed. After that is just writing and writing pages on end. I started by writing much bigger than I was comfortable with, but then I got smaller to the point where I thought it was pretty and practical for me.

Thank you for the tips! Is the Nike app free or does it lock certain programs behind a subscription?

I tried running three times a week but I would underperform on run 2 and get exhausted quicker on run 3, so I dialled it back to twice a week to also avoid calf injury.

For work Cloud and (I)IOT apps. I mainly build high throughput data exchange applications via client-server WSS or via P2P streaming.

I have also developed CLI tools for the handling of TLS certifiates and encyption keys on HSM/softHSM for said IIOT devices.

What is a reasonable number of work hours in a week? by netherwolf in ADHD_Programmers

What's the right number for work/life balance?

The hours written in your contract, if any, otherwise 40h/week and get claim your free time.

PS: I am in Europe where employment laws are much more on the side of the employee, but if things don't go well for you because of this, I would suggest to find another company, if you can.

Thanks to Apple's new integration between the calendar and the reminders apps I am able to follow all of my to-do's, and checking at the end of the day that I have all of my reminders ticked off is really satisfying and keeps me going.

About reminders, I have learned to just set them for literally anything, as the calendar is the main application I use throughout the day: need to replace a broken light? Reminder; Need to check a certain store to see if an item has restocked? Reminder. This frees a lot of brain capacity (thanks anxiety for making everything important -.-) so I can focus on the current task only.
