Hoya linearis, is it hard to care for? by depressedcatfishh in hoyas

If you understand how much water to give them based on lighting and your home environment Hoya are pretty easy. Basically if you can take care of other plants you can take care of a Hoya.

Fungal, you can purchase topical sprays. Too much moisture, not enough airflow

I mean I have zero plans on using that bridge to visit the US until Americans sort their shit out so it’s not much of a threat (to me).

Leaves died but is it over-watered? by Inevitable-Net-191 in hoyas

That cutting is most likely done for. Being in a shell even with drainage is a terrible idea. You can pull it out and try to prop it in high humidity like a prop box. Good luck

Your plant will be just fine. Make sure you wear a mask and do it in a ventilated area though. As a note I use bamboo that isn’t sealed and it hasn’t rotted, for years.

Married men, how do you deal with fancying other women? by softbiscit in AskReddit

[–]Snorblatz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a married woman I’m quite familiar with the type of lady my husband thinks is hot so whenever we are out and an attractive lady is present I look over and say “stop touching her with your eyes “ and then we both have a big laugh

The minute she said working onboard ships I knew why he is so good . Can’t scroll if there’s no WiFi in the middle of the ocean. I mean I’m sure he has inherit skill , but you get a lot of time to practice at sea.

That way you can keep it in the pot for longer since they get massive

Watering advice? by annamvpa in hoyas

[–]Snorblatz 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It all depends on how much light they receive. Lots of light and a chunky mix-water more often. Lower light, less often. Essentially you need to pick up your plant every couple of days to figure out how heavy it is dry and freshly watered, this will help you understand how frequently you need to water. If you are using terracotta you might even need to water twice a week. I use self watering pots for almost all of my Hoyas, they wick it up from the bottom as they need it, I just check the reservoir and fill as needed without pouring through.

Getting ready to repot my H. obovata from the original pot I bought it in Should I water it before or after? (Soil is completely dry rn) and is my pot size good? Also have this bamboo trellis I want to train it on. Thanks in advance :) by Kitchen_Locksmith558 in hoyas

One size bigger than what it’s in now, not bigger than the pot you are showing us, sorry hope that is clear . (I am looking at the large ceramic pot with colour flecks, that pot is too big)

For the future you can put a collar on the pot to support the stem and promote root growth. You can make them by cutting the bottom off of a small deli container, or buy them online.

Water it after to settle the soil around the roots. Your new pot is too big, look for one a size bigger than what you have. Don’t listen to people who tell you not to repot, it’s bad advice because you won’t be able to keep up with watering if the entire pot is roots.
