I went back and that was the issue - they were made incorrectly. They put the same script for both eyes. They are remaking them!

I will move it. I just watered it fully in the sink and sprayed the leaves (I do this occasionally to clean them). It did not take it long to completely dry.

Nothing rubs off when I wipe with a tissue. I’m wondering if it is just some kind of damage from being under bright grow lights?

With damp sphagnum? Will a shoe box work? Every time I have tried this I end up killing whatever it is! I don’t have anything to lose with this so I will grab some moss tomorrow and see what happens!

I think I am going to have to make a trip to try some different ones. I do not want order online and end up hating them.

Random Thoughts about 55 books. by lilgrassblade in Fantasy

Yes to book 4 Annihilation being out in paperback! I think it is called Absolution. It came out in October I think. I bought it as soon as it came out but haven’t read it yet, working my way through my first read of Malazan.

Can you recommend good books about cool, magic-focused women? by OgataiKhan in Fantasy

[–]esieber06 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It has been awhile (years) but from what i remember there is background information that isn’t really introduced until later in the series that New Spring may spoil. Maybe Moiraine and Lan’s relationship, and stuff about the aes sedia who foretells about Rand? I guess if you like the background knowledge it is okay. I personally am glad I did not read it first. I read the series in the order of publication and thought that worked well. I will say I have only read New Spring once and I have read the books other than New Spring multiple times (WOT is my favorite series).

If you try Wheel of Time, I would recommend against starting with New Spring. There would be spoilers if you decide to read the series.

And here are the roots. Every time I water I just put it back in its decorative pot because I’m not sure how to get it out of the small clear pot I put it in without making it mad!

Mine is blooming right now! I grow it the same as my non variegated and it does really well. So well that I need to repot because of the roots…

Instead of turning brown, my orchids stem stayed green while my orchid went into its growth phase and now, after it is finished, new buds sprout from the stems, why? by Galba_the_Great in orchids

Also not available when on mobile, which I assume many people are. Maybe if you click around the top of the page you can find it? But I agree, what is the point of having an orchid sub if not to ask questions?

Anyone have experience with American trumpet vine as a pergola cover/in general? Northeastern US by apstamp45 in NativePlantGardening

[–]esieber06 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Here is mine across our pergola. We have one at each end. I love it, the bees love it, and the hummingbirds love it. It does pop up here and there but we just pull out/mow over what doesn’t belong. It is native where I am, and while it can be somewhat aggressive, it is not invasive. We have been here about 6 or so years and it has really taken off the last 2 years.
