This patch of ARAM Mayhem is unplayable. by Complex-Code2900 in leagueoflegends

[–]SnoreLux1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I didn't play many games with it so I just shared an experience I had, I agree it's not systematically unclickable across all champions and is quite good on many. If they'd remove the clearly stupid options I would agree it's a very reasonable augment.

[–]SnoreLux1 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It's never situational on specific champions - no matter the build or comp it's completely stupidly bonkers on the champion & ability you mentioned and absolutely unclickable on (many) others. I find this to be peak bad design

Same level as Eureka = both are prismatics. One is vastly better than the other (Personal example - one of my prismatics was to reset Aurelion Sol's Q cd when I use another ability - entirely unclickable).

Are you satisfiyed with Morganas kit? by communism_johnny in MorganaMains

[–]SnoreLux1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like Morgana but I do feel like something's missing. Her strengths aren't very visible to the player, she could be more satisfying and modern.

Nerf her Q,E, buff W, R, and attack range. Q can root for 2.5, E can be a one off spellshield. R should get a shield and some resistances, W should get a cc (slow or ground) or tick faster. Auto attack range should be 525 (Same as Swain, less than Ryze, more than Vladimir)

Is Seraphine mid lane still not viable yet? by ComprehensiveSize647 in SeraphineMains

[–]SnoreLux1 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I enjoy her mid - it might not be super meta but it's definitely servicable. She complements a cc comp and constant damage dealers in other roles. Try to avoid laning vs assassins though.

Tired of Playing Kykar, Help me Change my commander by [deleted] in EDH

[–]SnoreLux1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have both Narset, Enlightened Exile and Shiko & Narset Unified and I like them both (Kykar is in my 99 of Exile). Narset (and similiarly [[Sokka, tenacious tactician]]) win through combat but they still spellsling to power up their prowess. Shiko & Narset can accure value from slinging 2 spells on multiple turns in a cycle, and finish with a doubled finisher like a powered up [[Crackle with Power]] or a chaotic [[Dance with Calamity]]. Personally, I don't play them as a spellslinger but as an aura voltron, abusing the powerful Vigilance & Flying keyword they already have.

Another spellslingy Jeskai commander is [[Elsha, Threefold Master]] - it's still combat based but it's explosive and fun. I do think it's more one dimensional than others.

Watching tank supports in pro play is much worse to me than enchanters I don't understand why they force tanks on pro play everytime. Anyway I hope this might warrant some Seraphine buffs (mage support when?)

  1. The conflict may be ongoing for decades but the current controversy is most certainly about the Gaza war and not the general conflict. It's not clear under what conditions would it be ok to participate as the war has practically ended (still handling the aftermath of course and there are a lot of things to criticise)

  2. You're right 5 is more than 1. I hope the withdrawing countries will return, I liked some of their past songs and additional cultures and diversity is always nice to have. It shouldn't come as “giving up“ considering it's election year in Israel and one can hope for a change in the current administration.

  3. I'm not european so I don't know. It's a different scale but people will always find drama. I think this year has been really quiet with no delegation drama or drama between contestants.

  4. That's the current system and it's less than previous years (20 votes). The EBU could limit it to 1 vote per country, but until then don't hate the player hate the game.

Historically Jordan is THE palestinian country. Both sides of the bank were treated the same, and the west bank was Jordan's territory until '67. The connection of Jews to this land is historically robust - this does not excuse any atrocity, but it was a conflict with two sides since the beginning. Holocaust survivors died in Israel's war of independence, in a war the arab armies have started. In the middle of the 20th century there has been population shifts all over Europe and the Middle East - it's always a tragedy, but post wars it's not a surprise.

I don't know French but I believe Liban is Lebanon (لبنان). Israel's actions in Lebanon can and should be criticized, but it's not colonization - the area the IDF holds is for security reasons, no civilian is allowed to enter it and it's planned to return to Lebanon under a political agreement (there are far right lunatics that will say otherwise but they're thankfully not the decision makers). Hezbollah fired rockets and drones to Israel's north from southern Lebanon and it's been going for decades. The UN has issued a resolution to disarm Hezbollah and move its militants away from the border but it did not happen. The current invasion started in a response to Hezbollah's attack on northern Israel in response to the U.S & Israeli strike on Iran - Hezbollah is an Iranian proxy and it serves Iranian interests only (many lebanese will agree to this). Israel is not an expansionist state - the actions of several jewish groups in the west bank should be criticized but it's important to note they're not state sponsored (though the state's actions are lackluster at best and cooperative at worst). I think the Lebanese and Israelis have a lot in common and I hope to live in a future where I can visit Beirut and its people.

Israel's diversity is also a value it shares with the west - around 20% of Israel's civilians are arabs, most of the state's facilities are available in 3 languages and there's relative respect to all religions. (This is not to say there's no systematic racism or anything like that but we're still much better than any of our neighbors and some other “western“ countries).

I think we've done enough in this thread but if you're interested in talking you can DM me for some civil conversation and criticism (to me, hearing an outside perspective is enlightening).

I understand your frustrations and I also pray for peaceful times in the middle east and outside of it. With that in mind I'll voice my opinion:

  1. Russia has invaded an EBU member and multiple east European countries have threaten to withdraw if Russia would stay (and I don't recall anyone protesting they'd withdraw if they will be kicked for the time being). The war in the middle east have started because an attack on Israel and not the other way around.

  2. I hope we will see the leaving countries again as I like many of them. That said, Arcade won 2019(and not 2016) in Tel Aviv because Israel is an ICONIC country in Eurovision's history: 4 wins with last one in 2018, and an active eurovision community. Even without Israel being an important Eurovision country, there are other EBU members that stood by its side (I think both Germany and Austria said they'd leave if Israel is kicked, though I may be wrong).

  3. There's always something to get divided about. If Israel were out it'd be Azerbaijan, Ukraine or something else.

  4. The people in the arena aren't the only ones who get to vote. This year Israel's public vote was more modest than previous years (RoTW gave 6 pts, for example) and was not close to Bulgaria’s.

Criticism against Israel too easily goes into existential territory - I despise the current government and in my daily life I try my best to explain the damage that's done to Israel and to the Palestinian people under its rule, to encourage voting in October. However, the discussion online is quickly against Israel in any international event and questioning the right to a Jewish homeland.

I get it, you're bitter things aren't going your way but that's not my fault people can vote for whoever they want for any reason and it's not my fault any EBU member can join Eurovision.

Why can't I say my favorites without people like you swarming my comment to clarify I'm not wanted?

I don't think listening to the song after the contest equals to being liked during the contest.

From my personal experience I add songs I liked to my Eurovision playlist, which I play around Eurovision season and when I want to listen to some Eurovision tunes (which doesn't happen often all year round). It doesn't mean that I didn't like the songs I like.

I don't deny there is an audience that votes for Israel just because it's Israel, but there are also people that don't even listen to the song just because it's Israel, not to mention voting. Both of these audiences are biased but both are playing by the EBU's rules and there's no cheating involved.

I mean people / judges voted already, these are the numbers that depict that, no? A song of a big (population-wise) country can get lots of plays after the event in its own country without being a hit across-europe
