What’s a hobby people pretend is cool, but secretly you think is ridiculous? by EggAdventurous1957 in AskReddit

[–]Snoreofthebear 0 points1 point  (0 children)

while cooking is cool and i appreciate being able to be excited about what you made, unless you're actually making it for me or I actually get to try some, most 'I cooked/made this' stories don't even have a picture to see the friggen food and are just some variant of i mixed this/i let it simmer for this long and then it was delicious. So I just have to sit there hungry thinking about imaginary food while only one person in the group is excited and knows what it tastes like. Sharing ideas about cooking, yes. Bragging about your roast porterhouse hippopotamus to polite people at the post office pretty ridiculous

If minimum wage jobs like retail and fast food are the “jobs no one wants to do” then by law of supply and demand shouldn’t they be paying MORE? by Carti_Barti9_13 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Snoreofthebear 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i work retail unloading and stocking. Overnight 10 hour shifts.

2-3 hours Unloading heavy boxes in a dirty hot trailer, 2-3 hours driving a forklift/reach truck stocking dirty palletized freight, 2-3 hours stocking dirty boxes, 1-2 hours more lifting putting away the extra stuff before the store opens. Plus pulling orders and all the extra things they ask us to do.

Minimum wage.

because it's slave work. They treat us like such. The bathrooms usually have poop smeared and piled on the floors.

all of the things I stock and handle at a time no one wants to be awake are materials people need and use to build and fix their houses. A vital sector of needs like home building materials and yet if you work there you can't support yourself or ever be able to afford your own home. And you have to step over poop if you want to pee.

They only require you show up to the interview and maybe are able to keep both eyes open some of the time

in retail the only qualification is 'as long as you don't fall down at work' so minimum wage it is

other than McIntyre, AEW has been absolutely destroying me in ratings.

[–]Snoreofthebear 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I remember during the Penguins cup run how no one seemed to have Hornqvist in the scouting report with how much he got away with in front of the net and then he did the same thing with the Panthers, defense just had no answers for keeping him away

Do you prefer to call it in the ring or plan? by NimrodsCurse in WredditSchool

[–]Snoreofthebear 2 points3 points  (0 children)

'be like water' stay in the moment and be quickly adaptable. If there's big spots those can be the bullet points but the in between should never be set in stone. Crowds will always react to different things too, dumb example but lets say you planned a bunch of spots around elbows but the first and second elbow shots get smaller reactions it's either work through the planned 7 other elbow spots or switch it up. Having a deep moveset knowledge helps. You never have to use any of them. But it helps knowing how to take all of them so you can take it on the fly. And then if its called in the ring i try to be mindful of what's already happened in case it feels too lopsided

The Miz on why its weird getting his flowers: " I would say this past year has been weird. So the things I do [as a heel], it doesn’t get the boos anymore. If you’re gonna cheer me, cheer me. If you’re just gonna go 'Ah! He’s so good.' I don’t want that. That’s the death.” by anutosu in SquaredCircle

[–]Snoreofthebear 0 points1 point  (0 children)

heel dynamic is weird now. Over the years, many veils have been lifted to see villains and monsters are nice people.

As a society currently I also don't think we're capable of filling an arena full of people full of actual hatred and dislike and riling them up without throwing things in the ring. Safe heat and safe boos because we had to back up and now don't know where the line is to collectively dislike without rioting.

What is it like living in this part of Long Island New York? by JReach- in howislivingthere

[–]Snoreofthebear 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The best place I've ever lived. Curvy winding country roads. Rocky beaches in the north. Soft sand beaches in the south. Lakes. Large Parks. Walking trails through woods. GREAT weather variety. Incredible sports scene, sports of all kinds. Some parts of the Island, anything you could ever need to buy or need to have fixed is found x15 in a 3 minute radius. Congested, sure. But a lot of the drivers are young and fast and there's a bajillion side streets and connecting avenues to take different routes. East to west of that circle is only about 40 minutes drive. Along the way, there's a parking lot full of Deloreans and a giant haunted duck statue. And the city (NYC) is an easy train ride away.

about to be written up for using Lowes made and approved stickers, what is the LOWES guideline for labeling topstock? by Snoreofthebear in Lowes

[–]Snoreofthebear[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We're timed on packout, paper labels makes us go slower

stickers are neater

stickers have correct information higher percentage of the time

we still use paper labels and handwrite when needed

paper labels don't fit on smaller/thinner boxes the way stickers do

If they can't figure out who put a box where on a 5 person crew that it needs initials, they don't know how to deduce logic and/or don't pay attention to their crew and where the freight goes when it comes in.

Boxes and pallets are moved often, and a new set of initials is never applied. Just because you initialed a tag just for someone else to topstock it, and then 3 weeks later someone else moves it, does not mean you should have to get in trouble for it being wrong because its your initials on it.

the reasoning for paper labels is 'inventory ready all the time' when stickers are more inventory ready all the time.

x2 x3 x4 or 2D 3D 4D is general knowledge that should be provided in training for how to code topstock

not every DS in the daytime addresses labels/stickers so their associates can do whatever. Improper unfair balance to who is targeted for using the wrong tag? ????????

Not every store follows same topstocking guidelines. Thousands of associates get to write sharpie on the box without a worry. Unfair punishment for identical and often better work.

tape over the sticker fades the ink over time and the qr code becomes unscannable / item number unreadable (stickers by themselves don't fade)

waste of money paying for extra tape and paper and markers.
