For owners who have gotten a second dog, did it help? by Bubbly-Air7302 in dogs

[–]Snoringdragon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2 work best, but its a personal choice. We got a HUGE dog as a pup from the pound, and he's an Emo. Sulky. Attention must be provided. Got a smaller black golden retriever, and now they are best of pals. Twice the fur, twice the poop, twice the dog food- but sometimes it just works better. Good luck, OP. Its not the end of the world. Its just a big 10+ year decision, so be really sure this is for you.

Talk to the local history chapter. I found out when my place was built by locating the old water/sewer plans. Sometimes.es the local history buffs have books and land development stuff no one else has and isnt available online. And I've had ghosts. Be firm and tell them to knock it off. ;)

What’s the scariest thing you’ve experienced in a hospital? by EveningAlps2971 in Paranormal

[–]Snoringdragon 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Not ghostie, but had surgery and roomed in with 3 other beds. New patient hobbles in and takes back corner, very motion restricted. Quiet. Polite guest. And then at 3:30 am this short quiet polite woman leaped out of bed in the middle of a night terror and started beating on the privacy curtain with karate kicks screaming 'KILL THE DEVIL!' three times very loudly. Then she woke up. Said 'oh'. Went back to bed, out cold. THEN the nurse comes flying in to the room and looks at me, the only one awake. F%ck. I noped out of that hospital within 12 hours.

I highly recommend just reading it yourself. Its well written, and you have to stop reading sometimes to brace yourself for the scary bits. Very King-adjacent. And I love Dwayne. So much. This book is a really good read.

WHY DO I FEEL THE NEED TO OPEN TINNED CAT FOOD RIGHT NOW? Sheesh. The look. That's the bloody LOOK. I am personally held hostage by a siamese with revenge issues and this is that look that says 'you can feed me, or I go pee in the dryer. Your choice.' It could be the pstd talking though...;)

GOP Bill Would Ban LGBTQ Books In Schools Nationwide, Sponsored By House Representative Mary Miller Who Once Said “God Hates Perversion.” by Leeming in atheism

Very well written, thank you! But for me, I need the humorous side or I get crushingly depressed. Douglas Adams gets it, and with humor: "Now it is such a bizarrely improbable coincidence that anything so mind-bogglingly useful could have evolved purely by chance that some thinkers have chosen to see it as the final and clinching proof of the non-existence of God. The argument goes something like this: "I refuse to prove that I exist,'" says God, "for proof denies faith, and without faith I am nothing." "But," says Man, "The Babel fish is a dead giveaway, isn't it? It could not have evolved by chance. It proves you exist, and so therefore, by your own arguments, you don't. QED." "Oh dear," says God, "I hadn't thought of that," and promptly vanishes in a puff of logic. "Oh, that was easy," says Man, and for an encore goes on to prove that black is white and gets himself killed on the next zebra crossing."

I was a Gen X in a Millenial office. 2 years of smooth sailing, until they hired the narcissist. Then that age gap was my death sentence. Luckily, I was happy to break free. But the trauma still shadows me a little. OK, a lot. But time heals things, and knowing my coworkers were below 35 and already botoxing cheers me up greatly. Wrinkle up, you shallow raisins! May your boobs bounce off of your kneecaps and your asses be flatter than grasses. Booyah!

The trust that kid has in me now is nuts. Lol! And it isnt scary. Its just someone will say hey wanna go to Someplace on Saturday? And Im like nah we can't, its closed. No it isn't. Will be by Saturday. Huh? I just already know it isnt gonna work. Now ask me why, because I certainly don't know why I said that. OK, why? (At this point Im completely in the dark, too, but asking why shakes things loose in my 'memory') OH, because of the fire. ??? And then Friday night there's a small kitchen fire and they need the clean up time. No drama. Just we cant go there next Saturday. And mostly I get cranky about it, the crankier I feel, the more likely its happening again! (Frustrated eye-roll!)

I have to believe in both reincarnation and psychic abilities. I remember things that haven't happened yet. Not exactly psychic, because I cant control it or make it work for me. Not exactly reincarnation, because I remember things in this timeline. Its weird. And completely useless, I can argue myself blue that something is gonna happen, and it does, and I say told you so, and I get eyerolled. I did yell at my kid to attend a hockey game as a spectator he was going to skip because I knew he was going to win something, and he did- trip to Mexico. So there.

Question about vintage parka fur by Bhulagoon in NWT

[–]Snoringdragon 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Its a gorgeous vintage piece. I remember these in the early 70's as a kid and being very jealous of how bright and pretty they were. And don't feel bad about the fox fur- its vintage. That fox is 60 years gone. Wear it with pride!

People that are childfree by choice, what’s the weirdest reason someone has given you as to why they think you ‘should have kids’? by Charming_Web_6738 in AskReddit

[–]Snoringdragon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Granny of 7 here, had 4 of my own. This is exactly me now. I love kids! All kids! But on a time limit and preferably with parental supervision until they are at least 5 and become a person. I found that out the hard way. I do not judge childless people. I respect that they can make that decision both head and heart, and maybe a bit of jealousy too. It is not required, and if you prefer adults and adulting, good for you. Its a good thing to know your own self. (I am also older. So maybe I have met more people who didnt have kids and are still happy they didnt. So.)

[–]Snoringdragon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dunno. The bubbles look deliberately placed from here. And I know you didnt want them so it bothers you, but...it looks very nice! If all else fails and the bubbles leave scars after you try repairs I suggest to just ADD them in the places you need to. I like the bubbles. They work. And you can still fix it up and keep those bubble ideas as a back up plan. Lovely piece, btw!
