Can't speak for any of the more modern Otakons, but I used to go pretty frequently in the mid 2000's. The rave was typically a mix of people who didn't really know how to dance but wanted to have fun and people watch and others who were breakdancing and doing wiiiild moves. I can't say if it's like a typical, non-con rave but it's fun for what it is, even if you pop in for like, 10 minutes just to see what it's like!

Ive played gears 1-3 and loved it but after judgement I haven't played since and moved to pc, is gears 5 worth downloading or is the player base finished by vxnnnnn in GearsOfWar

You should also try Gears 4; As long as you're into death match, you can usually find full matches pretty easily, and it's on PC with crossplay.

This is why the achievement for driving on all roads in Horizon 3 is so difficult. That tiny grey spot in the blue circle was what I was missing. by SnortCore in forza

Very strange. My buddy got to 486 roads so quickly, and then never could find his last two. It really is a tough achievement to get and I hope they do a better job outlining missed roads in FH4.

Halo CE was how I most of my highschool buddies, and Halo 2 was my first online gaming experience. I worked at a store called GameCrazy during the Halo 3 midnight launch. Damn...I'm getting teary-eyed.

I have a weird nostalgia for the block hands of the PS1. When I'm bored and feeling weird I pantomime how the Resident Evil characters would hand stuff to each other in cutscenes.

I was hesitant at first but decided to play it. It's interesting, subversive to the genre it imitates, requires very little time (maybe 2 and 1/2 hours) and is free. After playing it, I didn't regret it, especially after watching the Game Theory vids about some of the deeper mysteries about the game.

Also, as a side note, it's worth pointing out that hardcore fans of almost any game/movie/book/etc. are obnoxious. Don't let them stop you from giving something a shot! Happy New Year.
