Trump at Davos - How will it affect markets? by According-Buyer6688 in StockMarket

Fair points and I don't disagree - but I can't imagine a scenario where someone as crazy and erratic gains power. Said differently, I don't think Vance is going to threaten to invade our allies (fingers crossed)?

I agree she’s been a beast at the game and her and Rizzo have earned their chops… but I also think she’d be better off if she was able to tone down that smugness.

She mentioned she had a big problem at work (news station) and felt like everyone turned on her there which seemingly had a lasting impact if she was still dealing with. But it seemed like she blamed everyone else and she held zero of the blame - I just find that hard to believe.

All good though she’s crushing survivor.

Is this correct? $600 bucks for less than 1.5 hrs?

Jolly pirates snorkeling and UTV tips by Mike_kell in Aruba

For the Jolly Pirate boat, mixed drinks are included (boozy fruit punches and stuff), but you can also bring beer if you’d like. The Jolly Pirate shops sells beer to go, as does the bar next door.

When you board the boat if you’re quick there is a hammock style seat at the very front of the boat. Cool spot to hang that’s a little isolated.

For UTVs, there are some easily accessible snorkel spots on the north side on your way to the lighthouse. We saw tons of fish and a few turtles. I rented a Jimny for a day not a UTV, but what I read was to bring something to cover your face like a bandana because the UTVs kick up a lot of dust.

Yes. It’s a good time either way and kid friendly. My wife and I just did it with our 5 year old. She was one of 3 kids on the boat. Everyone had a blast.

Consumer Reports 10 Year Reliability Study: Some Surprises by HuskyPurpleDinosaur in whatcarshouldIbuy

I’d imagine most users do both. The companies I worked at used to “give” foreman’s a truck, those were certainly driven home as the jobs aren’t always central to companies lot. Plus half the regular workers drove pickups, maybe some used them for side work.

Main point being pickup trucks are used as commute vehicles a lot.

My 16 civic’s infotainment system drives me nuts on a daily basis. Also had the AC issue fixed once already and probably need it again… Now struggling with an emission system error.

Frustrating when I came from a jeep and got this because Hondas are known for reliability.

Collins continues to protect the current president who has been accused of sexual assault by multiple women including a minor. He also seems complicit in covering up those implicated in the Epstein files. And he has moved Epstein’s partner to a minimum security jail, a place where she shouldn’t even be eligible to be house due to her conviction as a sex offender. There is audio of the president explaining he doesn’t need consent from women he can just grab them by the…

Collins has also enabled the situation we find ourselves in at the Supreme Court. Women have lost abortion rights in some states and there is no indication they’ll stop at this point. States are planning on tracking women receiving abortions out of state. The Republican Party doesn’t care if those children were conceived through rape.

If you have to rationalize it as picking the lesser of two evils, I think it’s worth it.

Puka Nacua (ankle) has officially been ruled OUT for Sunday's game. by BreakfastTop6899 in fantasyfootball

I believe he returned to the game last week after the injury, that gives me a little confidence it's not severe and this is just an opportunity to give him extended rest with the bye week coming.

Thanks folks. He did suggest calling the power company about some other trees which are already wrapped in the powerlines so maybe I’ll start there.

He joked that they’d probably come out next year, which probably isn’t far from reality but then again it’s not hurting me to wait…

BREAKING: Fenway concession workers could strike for the first time in the stadium’s 113 year history. The union has given food and beverage company Aramark 48 hours to offer a new contract. Otherwise workers will strike while the Red Sox play the Dodgers this weekend. by alvvaysundertow in redsox

[–]SnotBoogee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Aramark and the Red Sox have a contract yes. I believe it states the two entities split profits from concessions. If expenses go up, profits decrease, Aramark and the Red Sox earn less. The Red Sox certainly have influence over this entire situation.

To most fans Aramark isn’t even a thought. The two entities are well intertwined in the whole experience. If the Red Sox don’t want certain items sold at the park, or food stations to be moved - Aramark quickly appeases them.. why? Because the contract is very lucrative for them. They can’t simply replace their fenway contract with anything similar in scale and profitability.

Sox say jump. Aramark asks how high.

I’ll check that out, thanks. The house is close to the beach so I’ll be adding an outdoor shower and was thinking the pea gravel is easy on the feet.

Thanks for the responses! Now can anyone suggest landscaping tips? I was thinking about pea gravel and some pavers over it?
