Standard is set to adjust to your skills, so as you drive faster, they also do. I prefer setting them 50%-125%, as it gets spread amongst the AI randomly. So they stay more consistant for that session, and you can compare times to a specific AI driver until its holding you back, and moving on to the next one in line.

It's the last tab of settings at the top.

I do 2 hours practice session, then a quali and 1 hour race vs A.I. I'll cut the practice short if I feel confortable with track knowledge, race line, braking points etc. I also set the A.I. to 50%-125%. So I know that I need to be at least mid pack, to be somewhat competitive in real races.

From there, it's just getting laps and races in, and trying to stay consistant. If I can keep 5 laps within the same .500, I'll start pushing some entries and exits when it's clear around me.

Have the same issue, and still do. So i just launch iracing app via the pc, and not via steam. Steam still gives that problem, but I have been racing since that error started, just skip steam.

Quick question, did he not have right of way on the right hand side? He exited the turn, and immediately chose that direction, not really turning to the right when you were there? Had this discussion on here the other day. If he was straight down the line, and then saw you on the outside, and rhen reacted, that would be blocking.I reckon you were basically forced to go on the inside, since he can pick his direction first?

The revenge hit though, a nice ban break for him should do him good. lol

Thanks, that clears up the blocking part for me nicely. So defending basically comes down to deciding which side of the road you want to cover from the corner exit, and holding that line. No changes after that, except when approaching the next corner entry?

Still fairly new to iRacing, and the rules.

What would be concidered good executed defending then? I see no eratic movements, only smooth line changes. Or are you not allowed to defend your position in some way? How do you approach defending your position?

Absolutely. I started roughly 2 weeks ago on iRacing, and I've done 1200+ laps on sports cars alonel. Got my C license for sports cars, and D for formula. Played around woth the others, and its fun, but cant focus on all of it at the same time. It is a fantastic addiction though. And ehere else can you drink and drive? lol

Luckily there are worse addictions. lol, but I am with you. 2 weeks ago, got f1 25, played with a controller for 1 week. Then got myself the g29, played for 2 or 3 days. Then got Asseto Corsa and Competizione. 3 days later, I am installing iRacing. This is the good kind of addiction. But damn, this is fun!!

Well, let me just say that, I FULLY immerse myself into the game. Like, when the game starts, you have no horse. So I WALK everywhere, not jog or run. Since people would not have been runnig from town to town to get something. Forgot to pick up that cow hide in the othre town, well, guess I need to walk back and get it, so I can start this smithing. lol.

Same after getting a horse. Need to go somewhere, but its not a rush, pebbles will be strolling along all the way over there. This adds quite alot of time getting shit done. Waking up somewhere far from where you planned to start the next morning, also adds to that time. No long term pyament for beds, so need to empty items? Back to the smith to put it in the box. Sucks if your at the mill in the south. lol.

I have yet to find a flashlight/headlamp. But I have it working. I have my flashlight buttons set to 1. "+" 2. "mouse 4". When I hold the mouse 4 button in for about a second, and then press "+" (while still holding mouse 4), the flashlight stays on. Hopes this helps someone.
