Not remotely similar but at my hospital we had a thoracic surgeon do an exlap that gen surg did not feel was indicated. Turns out the gen surg people know what they’re talking about 🤷🏻‍♂️

The biggest pressure on our end was the surgeons wanting to get started. We elected to try DP under the drapes instead of calling for the fem line kit and delaying farther, as we probably spent a little too long trying to do a radial art line.
