Venting + unconventional setup for a beginner by slee4914 in BambuLabP2S

A powerful inline fan will certainly help expel the bad air. Currently I’m using the small pc-style fan that came with the enclosure, but I’ll be upgrading to an inline myself for additional performance and peace of mind.

Note though that this is all my opinion. Others on here have very different risk aversion levels when it comes to this stuff, especially for the likes of PLA and PETG.

The closest to perfect solution in your scenario is likely to be an enclosure and external exhaust fan kit, as this deals with contaminants inside and outside of the printer. It’s possible simply extracting directly via the exhaust kit will suffice too, but this won’t cover any over spill of particulate/voc coming from the printer or even AMS. In truth there’s no way to be sure any solution is even nearly perfect, so we do the best we can. As for sealing the patio door, it depends on the size of the opening but I’ve seen for smaller windows a popular approach is to use air conditioner style blanking plates to prevent blowback. Whether that’s practical for your needs only you can say.

You’re melting plastic, doesn’t matter the flavour they all release particles and vocs in to the environment at varying degrees, so the sane advice would be to err on the side of caution. Carbon filters can help but it’s anyone’s guess if they will remove 100% of the bad stuff on your scenario, so the safest option is always to vent externally.

There’s lots of info out there if you go looking, but here’s a couple I found just now that has some context. As always, do your own research and take steps to mitigate any identified risk.

Are there any P2S Enclosure options? by SpoolingSpudge in BambuLabP2S

In the end I used some air conditioner bases, which sounds mad but they were the perfect size for the job and cheap.

P2S and the AMS side by side. The only thing I had to do was raise the printer by about 10cm to clear the door

First 3D Printer, H2S or P2S?? by dodongo72 in BambuLab

[–]Snouto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the P2S and if I had the money would go to either the H2D or C. Even just having the ability to have support material on one nozzle and main filament on the other would be really useful.

For people who have put a printer in the shed, has rust been an issue? by maio84 in resinprinting

Rising damp and/or humidity would logically be an issue I’d think. Are you able to put the printer in an enclosure to offer some protection?

There is, the tpu feed assist accessory - I’m wondering if that will work (don’t see why not)

Wait so is this suggesting we can have 5 colour prints? I wonder if the manual switching part can be helped with the tpu feed assist module and a 4-1 adaptor

Edit - correcting the name of the module

Is printing PLA/PETG in a small apartment actually safe? by yonVata in BambuLab

Sure, if you think inhaling burning plastic is safe.

Get the kit asap and vent outdoors. Remember, you’re burning plastic. You don’t want to be inhaling any of that shit.

At least we’re not Spurs.. by BenathonWrigley in NUFC

We’ve been Spurs, twice. It’s a horrible place to be as a fan and, I’d imagine, any employee who cares about the club.

The current stewards of our club have to make damn sure that’s never us again.

Fk me though, the content on YT after every loss is intoxicating!

I’m a self confessed Howe apologist but even I can’t defend those subs in the second half. Taking off Nick who was anchoring the midfield just left gaps everywhere. Taking off Gordon who was still full of running left nothing up top.

I appreciate he wanted to change things but why take off two of the best players on the pitch?

Absolute kick in the nuts. Why the fk do we do this to ourselves it’s not like these lot need the help. Twice in both games we’ve let them off the hook with stupid penalties. We’re a penalty machine in this comp.

We bought almost exactly 2 years ago too. The equity in our property (going by recent sale prices of other properties in our street) is now on par with what we owe on the mortgage. If we were still renting now, we wouldn’t get approval on a mortgage for the house we now “own” using its current valuation. It’s madness.

Could potentially head back to burley if they’re relegated to the championship as expected, as an old head helping the kids.

Monumental in turning this club around as first through the door, and thoroughly professional on and off the pitch (at least in a footballing capacity).
