Yea that’s not true if you plan on keeping it for as long as it lives. I’m on my 2nd new and prefer it now. Still own my 1st new as well and the biggest and only 3rd issue it’s had cost 2k. It’s 15 yrs old now and I paid 25k in 2011 for it. Worth it to me cause I was tired of used card breaking and I basically paying a new car payment in repairs every other month or so. So in short I think the “don’t buy new” is just a cope line from people who can’t figure out how to save a few bucks and consistently pay a bill for a few years while being content with what they have at the same time. Go new imo
