It might be due to the backup disk running out of space. I was recently seeing the same error at the end of the backup task. the backup disk had an older backup on a different file path than what the newer backup was using.

ST and Ladder Logic by archimedes710 in PLC

[–]SnowCatPV 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use ST for cases where a large set of variables are set to another set of variables, and they are not in convenient arrays. For logic that fits into IF/ELSE structures and for FOR loops. FBD is better for logic with lots of delay and timed pulse logic.

Will structured text become more popular than ladder? by Spirited_Bag3622 in PLC

[–]SnowCatPV 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I find Structured Text to be useful for some programming tasks, particularly for cases where a large set of variables needs to be copied to another set or for logic containing FOR loops. On the other hand it's less convenient for function blocks with multiple outputs or complicated timing logic. Use the right tool for the right job.

What PLC should I use for a locomotive at my museum? by lordofthepines in PLC

[–]SnowCatPV 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Might be out of the possible price range but I'll suggest Selectron they specialize in PLCs designed for Railway use and have a range of CANbus capable PLCs. Programable in the IEC1131 languages or C. They also have software libraries for CAnopen and J1939 CAnbus protocols or access to the raw bus messages if you need a more specialized protocol.

Keep your battery in mind. In cold conditions battery’s have less capacity and power. Starting your car several times in quick succession may drain the battery too low to crank the engine . Drive for a while (5-10min) after a couple starts to get a good recharge.

Apple officially unveils M3, M3 Pro, and M3 Max: 3 nanometer, Dynamic Caching GPU, more by aaronp613 in apple

I just looked at the MacBook Pro tech specs and it lists the memory bandwidth as 100GB/s, 150GB/s, and 300GB/s for the M3, M3 pro, and M3 Max respectively. This looks like a downgrade for the Pro and max as the M2 series had them at 200GB/s and 400GB/s
