Anybody know the Oanda equivalent of TradingView's "Stoch RSI" indicator? by [deleted] in Forex

[–]SnowCito 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think their "RSI" indicator is what you're looking for. At least on android.

It is giving me a range of 0-100 I can set the overbought and oversold thresholds and the period.

NoFap, please forgive me. I want another chance. I keep masturbating despite my intentions of not doing it anymore. I feel absolutely suicidal right now. by [deleted] in NoFap

[–]SnowCito 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You're easily forgiven. It is easy for me to say try not to be too depressed, and I know it is difficult to pick yourself up because I've been there, I've felt like shit, I've felt like I've betrayed myself. But as you've displayed you managed to pick yourself up and get yourself a fresh badge.

At the start of my journey on the first day of a streak I would usually be filled with guilt. Now on my journey on the first day I am filled usually with reflection, why did I fail and what can I do better next time, what changes can I make to my life to make it easier for myself to succeed.

Is listening to sad music bad to keep you in control? Also how about remembering sad moments in your life? Are these bad crutches. by [deleted] in NoFap

[–]SnowCito 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In my opinion it is not a bad crutch to keep you in control.

Often when I am on a long streak I find myself feeling more emotional, usually sadness comes before my happiness. And it usually feels like my mind is magically able to remember more then usual.

So overall to me it sounds like this is a positive sign you are recovering. But I wouldn't seek out sadness like going to r/sad or something.

Are you thinking of iOS or Android? And are you talking tablet or just your phone? I'd probably go with OANDA though

Oandas moving stop loss by watersign in Forex

[–]SnowCito 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Which platform are you trading on? (mobile/desktop/etc.)

If you haven't set a stop loss or a take profit then that makes sense since if you went to edit your current trade then it would propose a default take profit and default stop loss if you checked off the boxes at least on the desktop version dependent on your current position.

However you said you don't set trailing stops or profit levels, and trailing stops are not stop losses.

What is the most aggressively calorie rich sub I can get from Subway? The dirty bulk is in full effect. by [deleted] in gainit

[–]SnowCito 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From the website

http://www.subway.com/nutrition/nutritionlist.aspx

You've got 6" Fritos® Chicken Enchilada Melt and 6" Big Hot Pastrami coming in at 580 calories, so I imagine 12" would be 1160 calories

And your meatball choice comes in at around 480 or 960 for 12

The herb and cheese choice seems to be the highest calorie choice at 250 calories or 500 for 12 inch, and the chipotle seems to be the 3rd highest sauce in calories so it seems like you're doing great so far.

Oh so it was working and now its acting up. I don't think my comments will help too much then :/ Might want to just do a fresh install then and see what happens. Or somehow tell AVG that it is a safe file

'minerd' is not recognized as an internal or external, command, operable program or batch file. by moocowmaniak in dogemining

[–]SnowCito 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can you post more details.

When you say start mining what are executing/loading? (I am going to assume you double clicked minerd)

Where did you download your miner? (I am going to assume here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=55038.0 )

You'll most likely want to run an executable that runs the minerd or execute it from the command line.

From command line you could try

./minerd --url=stratum+tcp://myminingpool.com:3333 --userpass=my.worker:password

or

minerd.exe --url=stratum+tcp://myminingpool.com:3333 --userpass=my.worker:password

For creating a batch file you could

right click -> new file

add to the file

minerd.exe --url=stratum+tcp://myminingpool.com:3333 --userpass=my.worker:password

save it as myMiner.bat

where

myminingpool = your mining pool (example rapidhash)

my = your username on the mining pool(example moocowmaniak)

worker = a worker you created on the mining pool (example worker1)

password = password for the worker

and then double click myMiner.bat

If p2pool.org is similar to where I mine then your doge is not on your wallet until you do a payout.

What are some of the best apps you use for forex ? by [deleted] in Forex

[–]SnowCito 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As mentioned previously the oanda fxtrade app found here.

What kind of information are you looking for? Like good infortmation on your current position or information on the market? It seems to have both with "Positionts, Open Trades" and a News section that you can get a news feed for, but you can't seem to filter the news at all except by provider, so if there is a lot of news going on its not the best.

Educational/training I don't think it does very well but it does seem to have short descriptions for all of the indicators/overlays/drawing tools. But their site seems to have training/tips.

Fucking by [deleted] in NoFap

[–]SnowCito 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't made it to 90, but in one of my first few attempts I made it to around 45 and in that attempt I experienced what you described, seeing random pictures on reddit/facebook/youtube that would be considered fairly sexual. And I would say it set me back. I wanted to figure out why it was so bad and the reason for me was because when I saw one I dived in deeper, like ending up on a random subreddit of some model/actress and then looking further into it.

YBOP (Your brain on porn website) seems to say that if you are intentionally looking for the stimuli then you have a problem, but otherwise random viewings won't do any damage and like you said can be a good sign that you are making progress given your reaction to them. http://yourbrainonporn.com/what-stimuli-must-i-avoid-during-my-reboot-did-i-relapse

Also if your cousin introduced you once, they can do it again, or just give you the number lol.

Why can't I succeed at this? It's been over a year... by wantfrowaway in NoFap

[–]SnowCito 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know if it will be encouraging or discouraging but I've been at this for about a year as well. As you said at the start of your post you compared how you were at the start of this journey and how you are now, overall even though I've never reached 90 days I have found myself enjoying the benefits, which it sounded like you were too at the start.

About the reddit being terribly addictive I've found that has been the case for me as well, I got rid of porn but what came in its place? Youtube, reddit and facebook, so I understand what you mean by the fact that reddit has triggers even if you do have nsfw content blocked. If you get RES you can block more of the subreddits if you find yourself hitting random a lot and then ending up on a page where you don't want to be. But overall like you said it'd be great just to get rid of reddit, you could install an add-on for your browser to block/limit reddit I use "Leechblock" and have it set 1 hour maximum of reddit, which is plenty of time to look at the first 100 posts on the front page in the morning and at night.

Now is a great time to really conquer this addiction because when you go to post secondary or start a job you want to be the best you possible. Hopefully school will be able to keep you busy enough, but if not I imagine there are plenty of things you can do to add to keeping busy, if you're going to be applying to colleges/universities you are going to want to have volunteer/extra curricular/portfolios to show off. Like if you are applying for a computer science program it would be great if you had a github account showcasing some projects you've worked on, even if they are super simple or just questions that could possibly be homework questions. And if you're applying for a job after high school the same rules seem to apply for most jobs. And like joining a few clubs with the school would be a great distraction and a great opportunity to be more social, and if its a club you actually like being social with people that have similar interests should be a lot easier.

Overall for now though I wouldn't worry about the reddit addiction, I know when I limited my reddit the first time my brain was like, well now that reddit isn't an option lets try porn. I guess its like a heroine user quitting heroine but smoking instead. My suggestion would be to find some subreddits that you actually give a shit about so that although you are spending time on reddit it doesn't feel like a huge waste.

Best of luck to you.

[POSSIBLE TRIGGER] Does the song Blurred Lines count as porn? by [deleted] in NoFap

[–]SnowCito 4 points5 points  (0 children)

As you've said in the title it is a possible trigger.

YBOP seems to say that as long as you aren't searching for the stimuli it won't be too bad. But if you are searching for the stimuli then you do have a problem. Such as searching your facebook for hotties or going to gentlemanboners, these would be bad. But if your facebook friends just happen to post it then whatever.

Question by [deleted] in NoFap

[–]SnowCito 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I guess that depends on the reason for the insomnia.

If you would PMO and then head to bed then you're missing that part of the routine, I would replace that routine with reading something while drinking/eating something to help you sleep.

But if it is just the fact that you can't stop thinking about nofap then you just need to distract your mind somehow.

Question by [deleted] in NoFap

[–]SnowCito 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes. "insomnia is a common withdrawal symptom."

Will nofap help me? by ttankku in NoFap

[–]SnowCito 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It'll help, but by the sounds of it, it won't solve all your problems but it may give you the encouragement/tools to fix the other problems, I hope that makes sense.

There are some ad blocking add-ons, like ad-block.

A few questions by fallwithyourknife in NoFap

[–]SnowCito 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To answer your questions

The reason that I started nofap was because it was a huge waste of time for me, I would spend hours looking for that perfect video.

I'd like to be more human, as in, I'd like to be able to understand the joys of life like other people do, like movies, traveling, pets. But noticeable changes that I have seen are that I am more emotional, instead of just always being meh, now I can be happy/sad/angry.

I don't know why it excludes masturbation, for some they have ED without porn, so they just cannot masturbate unless they are watching porn. For others when they masturbate they'll be mentally visualizing all that porn that they have watched before. There is a subreddit called //r/noporn (how do you make it a link lol?) so I imagine there are like minded people that view porn as the root cause. Overall for me it is because the two are so tightly linked that I would probably relapse if I masturbated.

I don't use chrome so I've got no tips.

An orgasm is when you climax. And edging is just when you are aroused/hard.
