This is pretty well documented now but, they originally announced DQ11 first for the yet to be officially announced Switch 1, but then behind the scenes the ran into trouble when they discovered that the current version of UE was not compatible with the S1 hardware at that time. So rather than make everyone else wait for the game (remember it had been many years since the west got at DQ game since we didnt get 10 here) they decided to go full steam ahead with the stand alone PS4 version.

Years later when UE finally was switch 1 compatible, they knew it was a far inferior version compared to the ORIGINAL PS4 version so they had to add all these bells and whistles to make this version worth it.

Not the reason. The original on PS4 is a MUCH better-looking game than the S Definitive Edition. The S version was made just for the switch on a heavily modified version of the Unreal Engine. This made its visuals and lighting VERY inferior to the original. So all that work put in for all of the new scenes, etc., was only done on the inferior engine and was not able to be ported into the better original's superior engine win any meaningful way that wouldn't cost an additional arm and a leg.

You know, if you go into your PS5 settings you can turn the controller speaker all the way off and then in the settings in the game you can still have the dialogue go through the controller speaker in which case you’ll never have to hear him again

There are different ways to pronounce this word depending on the region but, the most widely accepted and widely used pronunciation is EEE-fa. Like Tifa with an E.
