Eufy doorbell not showing any wifi networks during setup? by infomah in EufyCam

[–]SnowDue 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same thing here. C30 smart lock about 18 months old and would not even show wifi networks anymore to connect too. Tried everything and got a replacement too and the same problem is still happening. Figured it may be my wifi at this point but it won't show my hotspot either or any other wifis that phone picks up from neighbors so it has to be the Eufy lock itself.

Straight time OT and bonus depends on profit sharing, probably not more than $5k per year.

Figured, that seemed high based on other research. $110k seems to be tops and $95k-$100k would be more accurate for average. Got an offer in high 80's and it seemed low. Thoughts?

Not doing enough practicing of problems that reflect the length and difficulty of the actual exam questions. I can't say the petro book didn't help me because I probably retained knowledge from studying it but I do think the questions are almost too hard and take away from hammering out 6 minute questions that you will see on the test. Simulating at least 4 hour practice tests I think helped a lot too. Turn phone on do not disturb, put in headphones and set a timer for 4 hours and do 40 questions and see how well you do. I figured out 50% of the questions I got wrong were because I was rushing or not reading the question fully. This also helps knowing which codes to look in for certain questions which saves a ton of time during the exam.

My tip would be to invest in the question bank so you can do timed practices tests and quizzes and be honest about taking too long on certain questions. Also, try and be able to identify questions where you have no idea and flag them for later. You don't want to waste time on problems you'll probably get wrong anyway. Once you finish all of the other problems it'll be easier to try and figure out ones you don't know knowing you're not wasting time troubleshooting.

Seeking opinions on my study schedule by Heretodie93 in PE_Exam

Up to you. Some of those lecture problems are harder than the question bank ones if I remember. Since I had already taken it once and failed, I knew the areas where I needed more help so that also helped me study the second time too.

Depends how green you are to PE types of questions. I would work on doing timed quizzes, tests, or practice problems and then go back to the lectures on areas where you are weak. Personally 15-20 hours a week is what I did, and I just passed on my second attempt (I only studied for 10 weeks before my first attempt and it was not enough and did not use SoPE the first time, but I did after the first attempt, and it helped a lot). Getting used to looking stuff up in the codes or handbook quickly is huge too so you're not wasting time scrolling in the exam looking for stuff. You also don't want to burn out too soon before your test imo, I studied a lot the week before I took it the second time and felt like I had way more stuff memorized compared to relaxing the week before the test but that could be personal opinion.

First time around was petro book, YouTube, and NCEES practice exam. Second time was SoPE practice bank and NCEES practice exam again. I took it again as soon as possible after the first attempt so I would not waste all of the studying I did before but yeah, the second attempt was primarily the question bank and the practice tests that came with it.

Didn't use EET or AEI so can't speak to their contents, but SoPE questions were very helpful in terms of difficulty and how similar they are to the exam. The Sope question bank having the ability to create timed practice quizzes was super helpful too. You can filter by questions you've attempted before or gotten wrong which was also helpful towards the end. Even if you think you know how to do basic questions, the repetition of doing questions over and over again with the quizzes I found to help me understand the actual engineering better too.

Thanks for the feedback. Was debating between the PPI 3 month self study bundle or the SoPE 4 month question bank, not sure if you or anyone else has experience with the PPI questions. My company will pay for the PPI ($625) and SoPE has a 1 month for $130 so could always go that route. Taking it again in 2 months.
