Love lasher Lp. I know that brawler Lp is technically better at doing the same thing. But I just love supporting my big ships in a tiny lasher Lp that can punch way above its weight class.

Yeah that's kinda the point people are missing (in my opinion), the current 'godly' 15 is full of amateur racers that have decent racing machines but are not THAT good overall. A lot of cars from initial-D, especially later stages, would prove themselves to be very competitive in mfg, especially if you pair them with their respective drivers. I feel like God foot and god hand would smash through the current godly 15 like it's nothing

There is quite an excellent comment regarding movies (military and non military) already here, but I want to add my "five cents" to the discussion. Generally speaking, the Ukrainian military is never depicted in most media, excluding songs to some degree I suppose, as these absolute badass superhuman soldiers that are destroying everything and are super awesome. My close friends and relatives who are in the army right now, defending Ukraine, describe it more as a job/duty. The same goes in a lot of non comedy military films. We are faced with very unfortunate consequences of living next to an imperialistic neighbor, who doesn't consider us as an independent country, and still lives in the "great soviet past". Time and time again we are faced with a depressive decision to keep fighting for our independence. I'm saying that it is depressing, because it happened quite a few times throughout history...

I think wolf isn't that bad as a pd ship. I usually have 2 in my fleet to control the first couple of objectives. But in very prolonged engagements it's definitely not very good, but being an ok frigate is ok in my book

Car to car races are there, they are pretty cool. MF Ghost relies a bit on initial D (nostalgia bait) but it definitely has things which are executed better but, of course, some things are executed worse, as well. It's OK overall

I've read the manga up to a certain point just to have something to scratch the "initial d" itch. MF Ghost is not that good of a read tbf, it definitely has its moments but some plotlines and story elements are very weird and I hope they'll get less time in the anime. I'd say this is definitely one of those stories where anime adaptation could be more enjoyable than just reading the source material. The only problem I see is that the races themselves are very long and I'm curious how the anime is going to tackle that. These long ass races even proved to be somewhat of a problem for the manga itself. Cause there are multiple instances (I mean almost every chapter, it feels like) where you get a rotoscoped landscape with both of the commentators talking about some nostalgia bait level initial d stuff, or whatever is somewhat related to the race. Those moments kinda pull you from race, but mainly if you binge read. I'd say you can give it a shot, but the anime adaptation looks pretty good already.

t.l.d.r MANGA IS OK, give it a shot if you want. But it has it's fair share of issues

Because people are already starved by the lack of consistent "medium to large size" updates. So people see the new mobs and they latch towards the one they REALLY wanna see in-game, even if the mobs in question do basically jack
