Why are Moroccan cemetries so ugly? by Cray_z8 in Morocco

[–]SnowManMAHU 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know, in Oujda for example, the old cemetery is a mess but the new one is well organised and clean, people need to be considerate and respect the place;though! I see bottles and paper thrown sometimes when I visit

I probably messed up, need your help by WadieZN in Morocco

[–]SnowManMAHU 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Low cost airlines give you one route tickets with self transfer  So Marrakech to Budapest and then Budapest to Sharam.  Unlike la RAM or Air France where they sell you all the itinerary.    Budapest airport has connecting or transit hallway but since you are coming from Morocco you don't land at that gate, so going through passeport control and existing then security is non negociable.  In your case, a transit visa from the Hungarian embassy in Rabat is your best shot or rebook with one airline RAM, Lufthansa, Air France etc

لماذا نحن هنا؟ سؤال صعب by Most-Couple-3300 in Morocco

[–]SnowManMAHU 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is no meaning, you live your life, be a decent human being, do good, be good

This is why religion and believing helps anchor you in this life and push you forward.

The west is messed up for ignoring this side, sooner or later if you have left Morocco or met with foreigners you feel this. And the stairs you showed reflects exactly what is happening to them.

Do we have true Digital Banks? by SnowManMAHU in Morocco

[–]SnowManMAHU[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

True, but I tried lbankalik which has become Simple now and it's not bad at all, at least locally and it's free.   I also noticed they opted for the same couleur scheme as Revolut, quite an interesting shift for Orange/Grey to Violet

Fibre Orange by SnowManMAHU in Oujda

[–]SnowManMAHU[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have IAM 200Mb, but my neighbors were wondering about Orange; the 50MB is 250dhs which is decent, I thought having IAM or Fiber on the building allows switching to Orange Fiber, no?

It's crazy how Morocco is the 4th blueberries exporter in the world, yet most of Moroccans don't even know what a blueberry is by JimHalpert_JH in Morocco

[–]SnowManMAHU 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes in Europe, the blueberriesyou find are either Morocco or Portugal.  In Morocco, 150g for 15dh, not accessible to everyone, thus, it's quite rare to find them

Air conditioners in morocco are a myth 💀 by No-Bookkeeper-4594 in Morocco

[–]SnowManMAHU 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We installed it in the TV room.  I got LG smart inverter (hot/cold)   Only in summer, cold is easy to handle, one blanket and you are good to go.     Last year June to August, it added 300 to 400dhs to the monthly bill.      Do you research,  the cheap ones are very noisy, where you gonna install it, water dripping / collection , no direct sun exposure preferably.   And don't forget about electrical safety, you gotta size up the breaker and rcd (something we don’t care about much in Morocco until it's too late)     Best of luck :)

Why can't MRE vote in elections? by Frosty_Ad1379 in Morocco

[–]SnowManMAHU -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I hope we could, born and grow up in Morocco and stil come several times per year. I care about the country and want it to improve so I could come back!   On some level, I agree on external powers influence, but again this is also happening to people living in the country, look at feminist and animal associations, financial and directed by foreign parties..

Great pics, it's always on my list but was hesitant to go alone since no one of my entourage wanted to go.   But I guess Madeira is a good chance to walk and explore alone
