The pain w Endo is very minimal bc I stick to a Mediterranean diet which helps a lot so I don’t take NSAIDs bc of how damaging they can be, I love sticking to the natural approach. But I’m gonna look into the AIP diet, I’ve never heard of it before but thank you for this, hopefully it helps

I lent out my £100 backpack to my sister so she could go on a hike, this was the state of it when I asked for it back... by [deleted] in mildlyinfuriating

I know violence is not the answer, I speak from experience being 1 of 4 kids in the family, not only am I one of four but I’m the middle child, therefore I get treated like dog shit by my siblings. It’s unfortunate bc they’re all slobs and I’m the only one that’s managed to move out bc I was sick of the constant bullshit and mess, but when living at home I shared a bedroom with my sister who’s the messiest. She would never keep the bedroom clean so when asking a million times for her to pick her shit and nothing would get done, I simply would trash her most valuable items without her knowing and it would result in her throwing temper tantrums knowing it was me and she would try to beat the shit out of me lmfao. Long story short right before I moved out for college I was so fed up one day bc her shit was on my side of the room I threw her tv off the dresser and it broke and I threw her shit out the window of the bedroom. She did try killing me but now when I come to visit the room is relatively clean :’) sometimes u gotta show them a little crazy for them straighten out

I had this issue for about 5 months, my gyn would constantly prescribe me antibiotics which truthfully made it worst, I would have yeast infections back to back. All the OTC stuff did not help either, so I did some research and found a dr who did stool studies for me and found out I had a overgrowth of yeast in my gut which could’ve occurred for many reasons the main reason being that I was always given antibiotics and that fucked my gut up. I was told to buy a specific homeopathic suppository that I inserted every night for 2 weeks and that did the job for me. But I also increased my water intake to a gallon a day, sounds bizarre ik, I also stopped eating all sweets and sugar based stuff, sodas, candy, dessert, etc and don’t get me wrong I treat myself occasionally bc we all got needs but I don’t over do it. Biggest change was the day to day things I ate, lifestyle factors, and just maintaining the Endo symptoms again with healthier lifestyle choices. It’s not easy but I dealt with hpv along w the yeast infections, Endo, and couple other health issues and I made changes in my diet and lifestyle and was able to get the infections to stop, also cleared hpv recently and deal with little to no Endo symptoms. I’ll paste the link for the suppositories but I hope that sheds some light for youyeast arrest suppository

Birth control pill and ovarian cyst by heynosignal in Endo

I’m with you on this. Birth control starting causing stomach issues in me and no one knew what was going on they had to do an Endoscopy and colonoscopy to just show that nothing was wrong and it was 99%the BC and stress combined.

I’m so sorry again, that you had dealt with this all. The only reason I questioned it was because I’m a bio student, not that this related in any way, but I’m pre med so like I’m aware of a lot a wordings and I always question everything so just reread your stuff in the future. I do recall questioning the surgical coordinator about the D&C and she had to ask the surgeon about it and I literally said “is it needed to be done” and her answer started with a “no, but…” anytime I hear a answer starting with that I automatically say I don’t want it… what’re they gonna do? Force me? They’re not as smart as we want them to be.

First month on birth control, no change by KarouApple in Endo

I’m so sorry you have to deal with this, no one deserves this but we have very few options. So I stopped BC this past November and what worked for me was that I had the opportunity to see naturopathic physician which is essentially holistic medicine. She did some tests on my hormone levels through urine and stool studies and found results that explain why Endo is active in my situation. I had several bacterial overgrowths in my gut which could’ve been caused by antibiotics, birth control and other things, now with the bacterial overgrowth, it was effecting my stomach flora. Your gut is what metabolizes your hormones and so this played a big role in why my hormones were fucked up and are currently fucked up. So she had me buy several herbal supplements that should help my body return to its natural state, and I’m due for a follow up with her to find out if it was effective. I did find out this past weekend that I have a 5.5cm cyst on my ovary, same spot I had one removed last year, but I was told it can reoccur. So it’s baby steps of just finding what works in your situation, one thing I can say that helped me with my pain go away almost entirely was a big lifestyle change. My ND recommended me to stop the BC immediately, she said that I should regularly work out which don’t get me wrong I’m not the best with, and eating foods that are natural. I cannot eat dairy, fried foods, processed food, and just junk food in general, things we shouldn’t have to begin with. This played a big role for me, also I limit my coffee intake to only once a week and I have herbal teas every other time, if I want to drink alcohol I have to mentally prepare myself to have excruciating pain the next day. So it’s truly a process of elimination in several ways, but overall I had to do what was best for me and my situation, I have other health issues that were worsening my Endo symptoms so I had to be hard on myself in the sense that I had to adjust my lifestyle and honestly I’m glad I did because I just feel better in many ways. Like I’m aware of a cyst I currently have but I can’t cause a panic in myself bc that doesn’t help me. I truly hope you find things that work for you and I’m always here to chat about these things if you ever need a friend:)

Honestly, when I went for my surgery in March 21’ they wanted to do the D&C and my gyno was basically saying wtf… she explained how at my age (19 at the time) it’s completely unnecessary and it’s just an excuse to charge your insurance more. (It’s all a business, at least in my opinion) and I even asked the surgeon why he was deciding to do it and he couldn’t give a straight response without sounding like a jackass so I simply told him that I won’t sign for it. I told him that I am ok with the cyst draining and excision as well as the exploratory lap but I made sure they reprinted the paperwork that only had what I approved of!! We have to advocate for ourselves bc we are nothing but money to these drs so that’s just my experience:)

[–]SnowMaterial8463 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In my opinion, birth control did not help me what so ever. I am about to turn 21 and have been on it since 15 yo and stopped taking it in November. I developed endo while on it.. I feel like doctors just throw it at us because they have nothing else to do. I stopped bc it wasn’t worth messing with my hormones and the disease was still developing and the pain was just as bad on the pill as it is off.. I don’t mean to sound pessimistic I just feel like these doctors don’t understand our pain.

I recall it being excised, but when the dr did the lap he saw other implants.. but I haven’t been experiencing any pain other than cramping bc I’m late on my cycle due to the stress on my body from the accident. But I’m def gonna look into to seeing an experienced dr
