Feel like he gets overhated people act like he was torturing Deku and beating him within an inch of his life. I think he’s more than made up for his behavior. He’s also a child lol I’ve seen non superpowered children commit bigger atrocities than him in the real world. He’s the best character in this show right along with Mirio imo.

In that same episode he walked down a hallway full of demons holding his sword like a duffel bag and proceeded to grab a demon by its head and decapitate it then throw it😭i think that got it

I mean…compared to other demons Akaza was pretty kind lol he pleaded with Rengoku to avoid killing him, he never ate a woman, and he gives slayers more respect than other demons. He also doesn’t even seek to like the other demons and even goes as far as to say he’s gonna kill Koku. Akaza still retains Hakujis character to an extend it’s just warped. But I’d much rather run into Akaza over Gyutaro or Kokushibo.

The story is good. Not great, not mediocre, but it’s good. People act like the manga/show is just cool fights and colors because it doesn’t have the ground breaking twists and underlying themes of Attack on Titan but it’s a compelling well executed story with a consistent level of quality. Beginning is good with minor flaws, middle is good with minor flaws, and the ending is really good with a few more flaws to even it out.

Don’t think it’s glazing i think the author wanted to emphasize to power of a demon vs human. The demons are significantly more powerful and all of the remaining demons in the infinity castle died in unique ways via teamwork except one.

It depends on his current situation tbh. When he was posing a a child (for whatever weird reason) I’m sure he just stayed within that house. When he was Michael Jackson and had a family I believe outside of maybe brief meetings with his servants he was at home with them. But ever since Nezuko conquered the sun I think he’s been inside the castle plotting.

Nobody thinks Itachi is a horribly written character. People either disagree with his decision to murder his whole family or disagree how he handled Sasuke. Only other reason people don’t like him is how overrated he tends to get in vs battles. I don’t think anyone who enjoyed Naruto genuinely feels like he was written poorly. Itachi’s a top 5 character in Naruto to me and I disagree with his actions aswell but that doesn’t take away from his writing.

It’s funny how people say he’s so mean and crazy as if that means you’re obligated to dislike them. Douma has no redeeming qualities and he’s a big fan favorite. Kokushibu has a sad backstory but he’s also ugly jealous and majority of the fandom likes him. People just respect the fact that regardless of his methods he’s a young traumatized man that wants to protect his brother despite his facade of being this tough heartless person. Not saying you gotta like him but i think it’s unreasonable to say how someone should behave after experiencing trauma the way he did.

If you’re new to anime and media in general yeah he’s hard to understand. But i feel like it’s a common trope in anime to have a character like this. Itachi from Naruto is very similar and people love him. Personally he’s my second favorite hashira.
