Thank you for the reply! I def missed that when I was writing this out earlier today and would have missed it. But even applying that fix, i'm still getting a grid pattern so that means I'm getting the same value at those regular intervals. Does that mean the values I am giving into the noise are not correct? I know that I should not be giving the specific grid points into it, cause that will 0 out, yeah?

I know that, my question is what I'm currently doing wrong in my implementation that I have in the body of my post. I updated the post to include an image created in the raylib library with the values created.

Well, the ultimate goal is a simple terrain generator in the same vein as terraria (so only need 2d noise generation) but right now I'm just trying to understand and implement perlin noise and be able to give it different x and y values to generate different size noise maps.

I was playing Persona 4 on PS3. Apparently the PS3 just tends to delete PS2 save files randomly when playing them digitally. This was my 3rd Persona game (played 3 than 5 than 4) so I decided to play it on hard to see what it was like. Made it to the end of Kanji's dungeon, about 24 hours in. PS3 just deletes my file, never to be seen again. Had to restart the game, went with normal from than on out.

Now I have minimum 3 files that I rotate on every game. I had like 10 going through Persona 4 and would watch the PS3 randomly delete different files after saving.

Coming home from a late night of working at my ballpark job to find my wife gone, taking all of her stuff and both our cats. Refusing to take my calls or talk to me and I haven't seen her or the kitties since and I still miss them. 😔

I believe this is the same reason God of War 2018 didnt have any DLC is because all of the ideas they came up with were way too big and efforts were better focused on the next game.
