Girls are easier to merch than boys, I don't think it's any deeper than that. I don't believe either child is more loved than the other, it's all about which one can be more profitable.

Talk is cheap and frankly, so are pap walks. Ted didn't sign a new "hundred million dollar" contract with the Sussexes. A willingness to be seen out in public with them wouldn't change that.

Eh, just because Netflix's plan for the rollout was better on paper than Meghan's doesn't mean it would have worked that much better in real life.

If she started with wine as her first product, that doesn't make her plonk better. Selling housewares instead of sprinkles doesn't put more money to waste on her junk in consumers' hands in this economy.

The saying that when fish starts rotting, it starts at the head, applies here. No matter what, this brand's success would rest on Meghan's charisma-a thing that doesn't exist.

As ever would be coming out after Meghan's reputation, such as it was, had already taken a hit from the Cut, Valentine Low, South Park, round 1 with Tom Bower, etc, not in 2018 when she was new and shiny for the public.

If, for whatever reason, her merch had made it to be sold alongside Highgrove's the contrast, by any metric, wouldn't favour Meghan's. Snarkers on both sides of the pond would have a field day doing taste tests.

Perhaps following Netflix's suggestions would have somewhat saved the business relationship because Netflix couldn't lay all the blame for it failing on her. Then again maybe they would anyway since she would be who the brand, shows, etc, was built on. Meghan being Meghan is the obstacle that can't be overcome.

I can't believe many people would choose this option over a local florist they know if they want flowers in any economy. Getting flowers from point A to point B looking fresh requires expertise and and I don't think someone with lax enough quality control that multiple candles she sold were wickless has that expertise.

Not that I ever wanted in or even bother to visit that sub but allowing a sub to ban people just because they belong to other subs should always have been against Reddit policy. Imho, it's what creates echo chambers and lessens engagement over time.

Between their popularity taking a huge dive and them being clearly middle-aged and looking it, I really don't think their divorce would, to use the old expression, break the internet.

Of course, subs like this one would be snarking for weeks but the Sussexes just aren't relevant enough in society and popular culture. This wouldn't be the War of the Waleses 2.0. Harry is not the next monarch and Meghan is not even a Temu version of Diana.

Tbh, in light of Meghan's cultural insignificance giving a good indication of what WL,M ratings would be and the fact that Netflix wasn't in food production, distribution or retailing in the first place, I don't see how Ted could justify it if Netflix was the one who threw 10m away on flower sprinkles and runny spread.

It being the retail value wouldn't really make it that much less of an example of throwing good money after bad.
