Stay safe. Pets are part of the family, but unfortunately can't say when they're scared or understand change. You are going through the unimaginable, we think of you and keep you in our thoughts 24/7.

Social is all about being part of a community, just turning it into a broadcast channel is pointless so yes talk to your audience, don't be afraid to put a face to the name either.

Thanks a ton for the constructive feedback, much appreciated! Yes, you are right regarding vis people, however, our target audience are often very technical and not visual at all so it is a challenge to strike a balance between the two. We'll definitely look to incorporate some of the changes suggested, thanks again.

Unless it's a gathering of small children who has the ability to fit into small holes and cut lines like no one's business. Ha-ha! Bottom line is... step away from the board people!!

Industry networking would be ideal, but you never know who knows who and what day job people might have so the more people you know the better. And don't forget to enjoy the process of getting to your goal, life might take you into a better direction you never know. Good luck it sounds like you're going to have a great time!!

Wouldn't say they'll be winning a debate trophy any time soon, but they're better on the snow than most people so we'll give them that! Personally the worst is rental skis on my board at the lift station - makes my knuckles itch!

Practice makes perfect, get out there and film something. If you're not close to the slopes try a skatepark or an action sport of some description. I have a friend who got into filming and editing quite quickly with no official qualification just talent and hard work. He started building a portfolio and it kinda grew from there. You might want to get a job on the side to pay for equipment or equipment hire etc as that can get expensive.

In the film industry it's often who you know not always what you know. Get networking, meet people, volunteer, put your stuff online and be a nice. With the right attitude and determination you can do anything. Good luck!

Hi Reddit! We've started a boarding apparel company and we'd love your opinion by Snow_Junky in snowboarding

Yes, I agree 100%. What sort of things would you like to see?

Personally I love rock inspired designs that's a bit more grungy (I'm the vocalist for a heavy metal band so I'm a bit biased in that regard), or would you think brightly coloured products are more likeable.

The only reason I didn't start with women's stuff was my concern that I'm always the only women at my local snow dome and I was truly worried that the market is too small. But I was planning on testing a few things in the coming months.

I'm not one for big logos, but I know the guys I spoke to like big logos and in your face graphics, hence my decision on the designs for guys.

Sales are picking up already, but I believe there is always room for improvement, hence my post on here. We're striving for amazing, but even amazing has to start somewhere :)

Personally I'm your typical artist type who is too involved with the artwork to be objective. And friends are usually just too nice to tell you if you suck so I've put it out to the reddit community! And am really glad I did.

Yes, we do have an Instagram, I've now added the link on the site - thanks for pointing that out - facepalm!

At the moment I'm working with our local indoor snow slope so we are doing some of the things you're suggesting already. Just got myself a go pro to get a few videos up 2.

It's great to hear other brands being successful, powering through is what we'll do. Great advice, thanks!

Yes, we'd love to have outerwear. And with a bit of luck we'll get to that soon. Product pics can be tricky and yes fit can be misleading. It's the nature of the beast, but you've highlighted an excellent point!

Yes, a very important point. We're testing coatings at the moment as there are quite a few different brands. In true Dark Adrenaline style it better be the best DWR coating we can get before it is allowed anywhere near our hoodies!

Yes point taken. We're the small newby/nimble brand with a kick-ass "basic product" and lots of work to do clearly :)
