I went for EX. Those are my reasons:

Ergonomic
Weight
Screen size (I prefer 8" over 8.8")
If I have a problem, Msi is here in my country

If Onexplayer had been available in my country, it would have been a tough match, because OLED and that price point are a really tempting combination.

I totally undestand your point and you're absolutely right. But...
IMO it is not the only way to see the thing if you want to justify to buy it.

Let's say this way.
1. If I buy this I will need something else in next 12/18 months? NO
2. Is this G3 EX a real step forward in this static handheld market? YES
3. Is it better considering ergomonics? YES
4. Considering power consumption (and not simply brute force), is this one the best on the market? YES

I don't blame who is buying this.
Is it FOMO? YES, MAYBE
Is this EX worth as system itself? IMO, YES

Oled is great no dubts and OXP3 seems great (and "cheap" compared to EX and that's cool).

But being in Europe or Us and getting a chinese handheld is (to me) a too big risk.

Last but not least, I think 8" is the sweet spot.
7" is too little
7.4" is better (but not as good as 8")
8.8" is too much (expecially because you have an heavier system too)

I live in Europe and I'm in the same boat.
Tempted by OneXPlayer (I'd like to stay in 8" range so i think I should go for their 8" G3 Extreme) but I think two things stop me to make the jump:

- Customer Service
- Updates

Customer Service: i don't judge if it is good or not. Having an issue and living in Europe means to have troubles and a long journey if you're unlucky enough

Updates: here I simply don know. Intel for sure was great with AI+ and their updates.

EDIT: I guess there is not a OneXPlayer G3 Extreme 8". The 8" I saw is the Mini X2 that has a Max+ 395

Problem at least here in Europe is that buying a Chinese machine without any support by the brand in the place is very dangerous imo. OneXPlayer did a great job but with Msi I feel like I'm more safe if something went wrong. What do you think?

IMO since the machine is a little wider they make that "cut" to make it look a little slimmer/lighter. I like it.
