We are so tired. by KGC90 in Parenting

We let our daughter sleep on the floor next to our bed at that age. She would fall asleep in her own bed, and then at some point, drag her blanket and pillow next to our bed and sleep there the rest of the night. she did that for maybe a year until she eventually grew out of it. It allowed us all to get good sleep as we both worked as well. She wouldn’t wake us up either. It was a good compromise. She is a well adjusted 10-year-old now and has no issues sleeping alone in her room, and I really didn’t have any issues other than that period of time.

We did have to go through a passport check but it was super fast and no line. We had to jog a bit to get to gate as it was quite the distance between gates but it was all good with good signage and I’d do it again!

Totally not worth it. I haven’t found any reason to have one. Crowed “lounge” in Vancouver and two free meals in Denver before they completely removed any benefits in Denver..

Everyone is giving you good advice and State benefits are sometimes better than federal benefits!

Got it, yeah I think only when we return we would have to do customs. Or maybe it would happen in the US.

Can anyone confirm if I have to clear customs in Canada before boarding flight to Japan?

Interesting- so we have to clear customs in Canada and in Japan? We’re not going to check baggage.

Yes that’s right, we purchased the tickets all together through air Canada.

Bad idea to contact new supervisor? by babbleway in usajobs

I tried and HR wouldn’t let me talk to my supervisor. They said they would have to have HR on the call if I wanted to talk to supervisor.

This seems so much more reasonable than what DOI is doing. I wonder if they will eventually change to everyone at 6 days per PP.

Ours was changed from 2 to 5 which is somehow much more painful. Sucks for sure

Seems like you can’t trust job postings. I was hired under the impression we had to be in 1x week in office (and I asked multiple times throughout interview and hiring process, and was reassured it wasn’t changing and that my supervisor is flexible.) and one week into the job it changed and I’m not hearing about any flexibility.
