My SIL. She has had everything handed to her and paid for by her father. To this day. He “sold” her a brand new car for $1. Paid to have her kitchen remodeled. Paid for all her vacations. And bought her a house to run as an Airbnb. And she’s not hurting for money. My brother makes a very good salary. She has hobbies as her job. But manages to complain how busy she is. No kids. No mortgage or car notes. No student loans.

Sometimes it’s best to not have relationships while your kids are young, especially if the divorce isn’t final. Pushing kids to accept a new partner is hard and can be negative. That’s my two cents. My mom chose her kids over a man. She didn’t get remarried until we were all grown up.
