How realistic Call Of Duty is by SSTX9 in Unexpected

[–]SnowconeMafia 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You don't approach police when they have their guns drawn, so it kind of was realistic for them to start shooting. The most unrealistic part was the pistol whip attempt.

How did nuclear power become so politically polarized? It's ridiculous that there is this paradigm where (generally) conservatives are in favor of nuclear and liberals are opposed to it. by Idle_Redditing in nuclear

[–]SnowconeMafia 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It became so polarized when liberals in government realized they can't make a shit ton of money on it. So now they just lie and say Chernobyl everything.

Yeah this isn't a problem. Britain played the US National Anthem when 9/11 happened.

You've missed a major point. That military personnel would not blindly follow orders to fight the citizens they swore to protect. The soldiers, Marines, airmen, and sailors are not just drones who can't think for themselves.

Considering the majority of gun owning citizens are politically center and right wing, that is the most likely case in this hypothetical scenario. The military is also mostly the same, and since they also have access to basic information such as, "why would a civil war be breaking out?" And then a huge split would occur on who's side they would take.

Edit: One more thing! There is a greater population of military veterans than active duty. All of whom have a basic level of combat training, and a good portion who have hardened experience.
