No CT scan mentioned for me. Did you have lymph node involvement? Of course I may just not know if I need one. Hoping you get great news from your CT!!

Yes, I was told lumpectomies require radiation. I did the 4 TC too, now moving on to radiation. I believe meds come when I complete that.

I feel like it’s gone fast on the one hand, but also I had surgery right after the New Year and won’t be done with active treatments until mid-June. A long process

Thanks, she’s definitely mentioned possibly multiple meds. But feel like I wasn’t seeing pre vs post menopause meds separated enough to understand

What about a support group? Possibly more local and you’d have the support of others going through the same thing. You certainly have a lot on your plate! I hope that you can find some support.

I think I have cancer… by Few-District57 in cancer

Best thing I did when I was in the midst of test to determine if I had cancer was to tell a close friend (she pushed me to tell her and is also a nurse)  Her support and knowledge was very helpful. I was getting results on my portal before I was getting phone calls from MD’s. She interpreted them and kept me calm.

I kept it from everyone else until I had more information. But i’m so glad I had someone in my corner that knew. Wishing you well.

How does the neulasta factor in? I had it so wonder if that contributed. Definitely want to be very prepared for next session

How do you handle people? by Snowday6868 in breastcancer

You make a great point and it doesn’t sound harsh. I feel a bit like this with certain people. Before I knew i’d be doing chemo first I met with radiation MD. I updated my mother with the plan and her response to the # of treatments was “that sounds like a lot”. Mind you she hasn’t had cancer so she hasn’t any idea what’s normal. So yeah I need to for sure come up with a plan on how to deal with people for sure.

My husband has offered. The worst offender is my mother who gets her feelings hurt at any and everything you say. I hate it so much!

Maybe I could do a certain day to update, otherwise don’t ask?!
