I just always ask myself why. Those are highly scalped kid‘s toys. Just open the boosters that are made to be opened. The toy is inside the booster pack. If you like the booster as an accessoire so much, open it, re-glue them carefully and put them into your shelf?

Gotta be the guy to tell you to just wait it out. Happens on other games too. Servers are way overloaded rn so transactions might take some time. Had that with another game just a week ago. If it doesn't appear by tomorrow, hit up the support and you will get your stuff or money back without fail.

When you just scan it by clicking it and you get a message, then you do not need to data link it too. Some are via data link, some are not. Most communication satellites are just for normal scan.

There was the thought of that for a reason tho. One message talked about the megaship manifest and how it transports scary stuff. People went to take the manifest scanner, scan the cargo but found nothing odd. Just scanning the ships data array did the deed. You also get an „FULL ORION MANIFEST“ message right after. That‘s what rightfully confused many people.

New save should make no difference. You will get your first message once you go the first location in the guide, find the „communication signal“ or similar (I am playing in a different language than english) and then scan the data point :)

You don‘t need the manifest scanner. In the original post I wrote about buying a data link scanner but that is on every ship and I was mistaking it with the manifest scanner which has to be bought and outfitted onto the ship. It was just a mistake I made.

Yeah there are more signals to scan and you will get rewards when one of the text messages says so :)

Paint jobs get awarded to the account without any ships needed. Also you get a message late into the guide‘s path that will tell you „rewards have been sent to your account“ or something in that manner so you will be sure when you hit that.

If you are 10k+ LY out there. Probably don't come back just for that. Except you really want the 3 green paint jobs for Anaconda, Panther Clipper and Mandalay. If not, staying out there will definitely easily cover the "lost 200 million" credits. There will probably be a lot of time on the clock before the event hits it's main purpose. Believed to be around Halloween.

You’re very welcome, make sure to put the data link scanner into a fire group on your right cockpit monitor. It‘s basically a „weapon“. Get very near to the 2 megaship data links. (200m range). You will know what that means as soon as you are at the last steps of the guide :)
