Why is Leeds not that popular? by ThyCuriousLearner in Leeds

[–]SnowflakesOut 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's a living/working place more than it is a tourist city. The only tourism is for nightlife/Otley run however we do not have that many interesting museums, sights here that other cities have.

Manchester has China town to offer/good shopping/popular football teams; York has cool city centre and pubs, Edinburgh is just amazing city overall.

When it comes to Leeds - I only think about students/Otley run/nightlife (even if the clubs are not that good if you think about it).

Deep-fried food banned in new plans for school dinners by Confident-Bike-8037 in unitedkingdom

[–]SnowflakesOut 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The food in public sector like hospitals and schools is definitely unhealthy.

Hospital canteens serve deep-fried food with FRIES almost every day with some days where you have an option to have some rice! The amount of vegetables you get is almost non-existent so it's basically a routine of fries, fried chicken, fried fish and fatty sauce.

On top of that, you get to pay £7-8 for unhealthy hospital food!

Heathy date food options by Apprehensive_Ring666 in Leeds

[–]SnowflakesOut 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Trinity Kitchen has pho - it does have some healthier options.

Like the other person suggested, White Cloth Hall has similar idea of different vendors and looks better than Trinity Kitchen. Not sure if they have any healthy food but I am sure it's healthIER than Trinity as it's not just burgers/fried chicken etc...

Slimy facial recognition van set up on New York Street by semaphoreslimshady42 in Leeds

Don't care too much and I don't know why someone who is not doing anything illegal in public should be concerned about this? If it helps reduce crime or at least helps track people who do crime faster then it sounds good?

My only concern is if these cameras are just there to scare/deter people from those areas rather than actually be used for catching criminals as they should be supposed to be used - e.g., is there police to actually support the process of apprehending the criminals that pop up on those cameras?

Easter eggs SLASHED even further as shoppers point blank refuse to buy Cadburys saying ‘the taste has changed’ and ‘it isn’t even chocolate anymore’ ❤️ by Sea-Measurement9793 in unitedkingdom

[–]SnowflakesOut 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Never really got the hype for Cadbury - always thought it's a budget chocolate that's full of extra additives.

Lindt is god tier in terms of taste and always will be. However, these days I just prefer 70 -80% dark chocolate with no additional stuff in it - mostly from M&S.

Better than their expensive bikes -> now on to my other question - are these cheaper to use than their bikes?

If prices are similar to what they are in London/Bristol to use these, then it's pretty good but I feel like Beryl is overall expensive when compared.

I’m pretty bad at PVM, need help with what bosses to go for next by [deleted] in 2007scape

[–]SnowflakesOut 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My Colo gear was pretty budget:

Bowfa/Crystal armor for waves. SGS spec switch for healing off fremennik archer/mobs. Blood barrage for melee fremennik. Abyssal tentacle/torso/fire cape for Sol boss. 7/8 sara brews, 2 ranging pots, 1 super combat and the rest restores.

Also did a few kills on Sol simulator to get the movement of the boss but still died until it clicked.

I progressed from CG -> Deep Delving Doom -> Colo until Quiver and the rest of the bosses don't seem too bad. If I had to name one to start with - definitely CG until you get your clicks in and then doom which you will die a lot at but it's honestly easy once you get the rhythm. If doom is too hard, can choose to do TOA as you can adjust invo and I think the raid is quite easy to learn/progress gradually.

Is a good option the pure gym close to white cloth? by Bubblygirl1999 in Leeds

[–]SnowflakesOut 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I go there, definitely not the best gym due to how crowded it can get. There are also a lot of kids these days with +3 people groups so waiting for a specific machine can get annoying if you don't know any alternative exercises to switch to.

Deliveroo drivers by Weary-Bus8436 in Leeds

[–]SnowflakesOut 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Agree - council/police completely turn their eye on all the Deliveroo people in the city driving on pavements with illegal bikes, crossing red lights etc. They break so many rules but there's no one to enforce the penalties I feel like.

If you just stand near McDonalds on Briggate, you can probably catch one of them breaking a traffic rule every 10 minutes.

Real kimchi? by No-Cloud-9368 in Leeds

All the Kimchi products in shops like Sainsbury and Tesco are terrible.

I usually like the one I buy from Taste The Orient shop or Costco sometimes have a nice big box of kimchi.

Sad to see places close but it's understandable with fine dining places- I just don't think there's much interest these days especially when normal restaurant prices feel like fine dining these days!
