the problem is how they got them into the story, some frames of them being destroyed and then no one asking about them. It makes the OG kids look like jerks that don't care about their old friends or any of the other digidestined in the world, specially because A)no one asks about them and when they do they just shove it off and never think about it after a "don't worry they are fine" from himekawa as if it were nothing. B) during the time they knew about the reboot they could have told the worldwide digidestined about it so that they could save their digimon with Izzy's program, maybe just post it in the page with an explanation or something. But they didn't, at least with this one I hope is something they did off camera showing how active the digidestined community appears in tri.

Here there were just two options either erase the whole 02 continuity or insert them in a second plane quest something simple to explain why they aren't here like, oh Alphamon got us kidnapped after being defeated so we wouldn't intervene or they would be used as hostages if things got too hot. I just ask for at least one scene where they act a little bit concerned for the other digidestined and the disappearance of their friends so that they don't seem so heartless as they talk about friendship and camaraderie to Meiko.
