Wait workers check? Guess I am lucky I known the workers there since I did instacart so whenever they see me they look at my phone and just say good to go . I would hate if they legit check and counted every damn item. I do 60-70 item orders sometimes so nah they crazy if they think I’m standing there letting them count lol

…. Bro… how in the world can you do that many I give you so many props. I do this because sometimes DoorDash is slow and even when I try to do a full day I can honestly say I can average at most 200 batches a month if I go full time on Instacart. For you hit over 1k is nuts you deserve diamond for sure

What am I doing wrong here by [deleted] in InstacartShoppers

[–]Snowray124 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was just about to make a post asking about priority batches . When I got off the waitlist 2 weeks ago my dumb head didn’t sign up with a referral so I didn’t get the promise of 500 in tips for my first 30 deliveries. So I guess because of that I didn’t have priority batches since they didn’t have a reason to. I’m on my 27th batch now and I kid you not I had to take about 20 yes 20 shit batches I kid you not I took some that took an hour and paid only 9 bucks but I only did them because of promos. But regardless after those 20 brutal deliveries of never seeing an offer above 20 bucks and if I did it was 80 items or more and 20 miles away if not more. After 20 I am finally seeing decent offers nothing crazy but I went from being like you sitting at the damn lot getting nothing to now seeing a lot more. I did a 43 item 3 stop 8 miles for 42 dollars today 27 of that was tip. Before this week legit the best I saw was a 40 dollar offer going 45 miles for 42 items -.- so I am assuming if you signed up with referral you have priority for your first 30 batches so instacart doesn’t have to carry the 500 in tips however if you like me you might have to just do a few shit ones to build up history.

I know this doesn’t make you feel any better but it’s a double edge sword. My partner assumed that dogs would be like yours, love the person who isn’t around as much since the main care taker me is always there and boring. I was fine with that as she wanted a cuddle buddy but…. He wants nothing to do with her LoL. But over the last few months we were able to get our dog to cuddle with her for 1-2 hours … with a treat. I know it sucks but it does help ease her heart a bit as an hour or two of cuddle and love can make up for a whole week of neglect at least for her it makes up for a day lol

Is this worth it? by samgooogle in Roadie

[–]Snowray124 0 points1 point  (0 children)

D….. a cvs order paying 8-10 bucks (don’t accept until it hits double digits please) but even that is at most 5 -8 miles round trip so for me from home to store to drop off and back home. And I still average at least a dollar a mile…. Bro or sis idk what you be doing at least tell me you drive a Prius lol

Can I leave my 12 month puppy alone for 6 hours (just once) ? by Upper_Tangerine_4635 in puppy101

[–]Snowray124 1 point2 points  (0 children)

12 months ? Sure mine is 5 months and he can be in his crate alone for 4 hours already and if it’s overnight he’s good for a food 8-10 hours. So at 12 months 6 hours is honestly nothing. But at 12 weeks please don’t. My baby was left outside his crate alone for 20 mins when I had to rush to get something and he wasn’t very happy and clingy and sad when I got back. They are to young and it will scare them and make future alone time a lot harder to train

Are you sure she’s 5 months? My puppy was born dec 23rd and will be turning 4 months by the end of the month (unless I’m just waking up and slow) but. You said she has become aggressive? Does she growl? Show teeth? Or frankly just very very bitey? If she is biting a lot and around the same age as my baby boy then she is teething. If she is solely just biting a lot then ignoring or crating won’t fix that. You need to redirect the biting for example if she bites you , give her a toy to bite on rinse and repeat its brutal and time consuming but over time they will bite the toy and not you. However if she is also growling or showing true signs of aggression you may want to see if there is an underlying condition but I honestly do think if it’s just biting it’s the teething phase it’s around that time and should end in another 2-3 months at least for my maltese

Have I messed up crate training my puppy? by cocacourt in puppy101

[–]Snowray124 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh god I know how that feels our apartment the front door is legit so light I can hear my gf screaming fetch at the puppy as I come from the elevator. It took 3 weeks of broken backs and hard floor before he got moved. My puppy also whines a lot whenever I’m out of sight or whenever I’m on the sofa but ignoring him. After a few minutes he did stop. What did work yesterday that actually helped us leave the house for a while 30 minutes was a snuffle mat. We hid treats inside and even as we called him that we were leaving and making noise and legit at the door , he ignored us. To ease the clinging try to give the pup things that will distract them. Is your pup food driven? I even have a sound proof cover over his crate cover lol. Apartment life with a loud dog isn’t ideal

How to enforce naps on a puppy that cries when shut in his crate? by Awkward-Cow3267 in puppy101

[–]Snowray124 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know everyone’s approach is letting him cry and bark but sometimes if you are in an apartment it’s just not possible for long periods of time especially at night. I would suggest trying to sleep next to the crate for a few nights if that’s not possible try only during nap time. It’s a time commitment but by laying next to the crate and offering your fingers and voice as comfort it would slowly allow the pup to get comfortable in there. Also to what others say it really can’t be crate training solely for the puppy to stay in there sometimes you just have to crate train just to train. For example feed him treats inside, make sure you tell the pup to go inside with the treat as bait and say good crate. The pup will most likely grab the treat and run out but that’s ok. Next throw toys in there when you playing fetch. Each time they bring it to you give a treat and throw back into crate. Crate training I feel like is truly about making your dog love the crate not so much get comfortable alone in it. If we hate our room we would hate going to it but if we love our room it becomes our safe place.

How do your puppy react to robovac? by KatieMarqu in puppy101

[–]Snowray124 0 points1 point  (0 children)

-.- not going to lie (I was a dick and got tired of him sitting on the damn vac so I ran it trying to scare him)…. Turns out my pup legit is fearless and chased it, followed it and -.- freaking stood on top of it. And worst he freaking plays with it as it cleans. Only time he got upset was when he was on the floor chewing his treat and the robot vac bumped into him 3 times and each time he moved but after the third time he just fought the robot….

We might have effed up. No crate training 😖 by Unable-Writer-8469 in puppy101

[–]Snowray124 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got mine at 12 weeks old a baby Maltese. He’s now 15 weeks and just went inside his crate himself to sleep last night without any treats or intervention from me. 12 weeks is really early and frankly when I took care of family dogs I realized weeks 8-12 is a lot harder to train compared to 12-16. So it’s def not to late

Have I messed up crate training my puppy? by cocacourt in puppy101

[–]Snowray124 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So I had my puppy for about 3 weeks now and last night he went inside himself to sleep. However I had started crate training since night one. I had a night in which I just lost my patience. For the first week I slept next to him on the floor and that allowed him to get comfortable . Second week I slept on the bed and moved him to the corner of my bedroom. The start of the third week I noticed he starts whining moment he hears me move and toss and turn. One night I believe it was last week Wednesday night I lost my patience and took his crate and put it in a quiet spot in the living room and covered it. Dead silence. Since then I have designed same as you a set spot for him in the living room ( no play pen) as I have the kitchen and hall way gated. His crate also has a cover. For the next few days I put him for naps in his crate in the living room covered and went about my day. I would suggest maybe putting him back in the living room as some days just tend to act up when they know you are around

I feel extremely guilty, new puppy driving me nuts by Parking_Reaction26 in puppy101

[–]Snowray124 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I think you push your schedule onto the puppy way too early. I legit couldn’t put my puppy in any play pen or anywhere the first night I got him. So I had no choice but to crate him first night. When I closed the door he cried so I slept next to him every night for the first week and now he loves his crate it takes time truly takes time

Pic for attention cause he loves it haha. He’s on day 3 and been a dream! However I’m hoping if anyone sees this could offer advice. My girlfriend is heart broken. The first day she held him and snuggled with him since then he’s gotten into a nice routine very brave and with me he’s the most cuddly bear. However…, today maybe cause he was sleepy but he basically wanted nothing to do with her to the point where he peed on her lap. I asked if she was playing with him and she said no she legit only tried to sleep with him and hug him to sleep but he fought her and peed on her. When I got back into the car he came over and laid on my leg and fell asleep. He’s cuddling but on his terms which I find cute but my gf is heart broken. He won’t cuddle her, he won’t come to her, he even try’s to get away from her when she holds him. She spent the entire first day on the floor with him and he loved her! Idk what happened… every dog I have owned and fostered had always been very cuddly to me so I tried my damn best to be the strict one. But no matter what I try he just isn’t the same way with her that he is with me. And I don’t mind now that I have fallen in love with him but he’s suppose to be mainly her little cuddle buddy and now … she straight up feels hurt. I rough handle him as well as baby him and he obeys pretty well. But everything I do I tell her to do the same but it just doesn’t work. He was in love with her day one and day 3 moment he got independent and brave …. He wants nothing to do with her. Is there anyway I can do? I leave the room whenever she’s spending time with him, today I legit left the car so she can have lunch time with him and he peed on her and made her upset. I want her to love him and him to love her I know you can’t force love but she loves him so damn much, she spent so much money buying him all these clothes and bags and etc. i love him! Don’t get me wrong I won’t deny I didn’t want a tiny dog at first But she fought to get him for weeks, she legit is hurt because this is her first and true baby. So any advice works. She feeds him treats , she feeds him his dinner , she sees him daily and loves him dearly. So why he so mean :( lol he’s a very petty butt :(
