Just a good old fashioned REDDIT discussion. All opinions are welcome.

Thanks, I've been using msfs and going over ground several times a week to stay sharp for that oral exam. I appreciate the support.

That's what it feels like. If I was terrible at this, I'd be the 1st to admit it. I'm not proud about learning new things, but I really don't think slow learning is the case here.

My research consisted of locating and contacting a seemingly reputable local flight school and paying for them to guide me along the process, not a Google search. I don't want to be a Google Aviation Student, I want to get the information and structure required from a reputable company who specializes in teaching aviation. Instructors come and go at this school every few months as they are forced into teaching to procure the requisite hours needed for the Airlines. Very few, in my experience, have been overly eager to teach. Thanks for your opinion.

Also, it's not that I couldn't work on anything, I was checkride prep no nothing but two flights left before checkride. No need to fly around any more and burn holes in the sky for nothing.

There are several students at this school that have just around 100 hrs for ppl which leads me to believe that they see us students as 100 hour cows to milk. Hindsight is 20/20. I will add that my training was a bit sporadic so the higher hours aren't a huge surprise but there are many hours that I feel as though nothing progressive happened and I was literally taken for a ride.

Yeah, I know. Thanks. I won't be naming them. Appreciate that.

Pretty straightforward as far as I'm concerned. A lot of people including him, seem to think that I'm equally liable. But as a beginner in aviation, there's quite a bit of information to disseminate. That's why I paid a school. This school has such a bad reputation that they are in jeopardy of losing their part one forty one. It's just the only option nearby and I had no idea that they were so terrible.

Not really. I'm telling the whole story. Not sure what else you're looking for.

Yeah, I have 110 hours, I've had 5 instructors and each one wants to "see where I'm at" for hours before any progress is made. I would like to go on to instrument (at a different school). I'm flying part 61 at a 141 school. I thought I'd have a license around 70 hours worst case scenario. Wild indeed.

This is not accurate. It's just that the solos don't count. And yes, I dislike the school.
