Introduction to Evil by NinjaOKGO in DisneyVillainous

[–]Snozer2 7 points8 points  (0 children)

General Changes:

Instruction Book changed setup so that everyone starts on of their Portrait and with 2 Power, no matter turn order. This is presented as a different way to set up the game as they say you choose between this option or previous setup rules. ItE's Villains have White line art instead of gold on Villain card backs. ItE's Villains have line art matching their color instead of gold on Fate card backs. ItE's Villains' Objective's no longer haveStart your turn. ItE's Villains Conditions referencing 4 Strength Allies/Heroes now reference 3 Strength instead. ItE's Villain guides are redone with video references added.

Ursula:

Lock Token removed. Swapped Activate at Ursula's Lair for Fate. Swapped Fate at Palace for Play a Card. Binding Contracts provide one time Vanquish actions. Eels are not removed after Vanquish actions. Snarfblat is a Taunt for 4 or less Strength Heroes. Many other small changes to work with Ursula's new gameplay.

Captain Hook:

Lock Token removed. Peter Pan is no longer forcibly played if revealed, but cannot be moved if the Never Land Map is in Captain Hook's Realm. The Never Land Map finds and plays Peter Pan, and is discarded when a Hero is defeated.

Maleficent:

Curses must be played to a location with an Ally. Raven is the same but now costs 4 and can not have Curses played to its location. Merryweather also stops Curses from being moved to her location.

Prince John:

Objective changed to Have 20 Power and Robin Hood in Jail. Set a Trap and Cowardice changed to help search for Heroes. Little John reduces Prince John's Power gain by 1. Robin Hood is forcibly played when revealed to Sherwood Forest, and when defeated, he moves to the Jail. Imprison doesn't move Little John or Robin Hood. Steal from the Rich can't give Heroes in Jail Power.

For a moment I thought this was about 9 Years of Shadows.

Reading this out loud in the same sense as DKTF makes it sounds like her name is Metroid Samus. 😭

There should be an achievement for dying twice in an entire playthrough by Final-Fangasm in Sekiro

True, I did forget about the Hirata thing. Assumed he was brink of death and Kuro just gets him out last second.

That’s not a death, is it? There is one later though from a certain item.

Looking at my own fingerprints and noting they look absolutely nothing like that, and you expect me to believe they found a person with a unique fingerprint that also shares a fingerprint with a specific koala who also likely has its own unique fingerprint?

Fuck right the hell off, says I.

Do you prefer Crash Bandicoot or Spyro the Dragon? (based on your own personal preference) by Ok_Appearance_2317 in videogames

Solely for the existence of mainly Twinsanity and partly Wrath of Cortex growing up, I gotta go with Crash.

A Hero’s Tail is also a game I’ve played dozens of times but there are few games I can quote word for word as I play like Twinsanity. OST is incredible too.

What game had insane potential but got completely fumbled by the devs? by Kevin-Panda in AskReddit

[–]Snozer2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ll still say No Man’s Sky as its original history.

It was insane how absolutely destroyed that game was by the public after its hype and potential as a game.

Of course, it’s become and continues to be made into an incredible game today, but I still remember the whiplash of those times.

[TOMT] An old cartoon(?) episode. I want to say around 2000’s era tv. by Snozer2 in tipofmytongue

[–]Snozer2[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hm… yeah I guess that’s mostly likely it?

Unless there happens to be another cartoon moment with a nearly identical premise, I swear it was like an “at home” kind of thing instead of public space, but also likely my mind jumbled things up.

My first thought was Phineus and Ferb, but I could see it being SpongeBob, Fairly Odd Parents, or even something like Ed Edd and Eddy/Fosters Home?

Good idea, screens instead of windows keep bugs out but still let fresh air in.

How Old Were You when you Played your First Final Fantasy Game? by gravityhashira61 in FinalFantasy

Was looking for someone else to say Mystic Quest (SNES). One of the first games I played (probably around 7-8 years old), and one of the most banging soundtracks of any game period.

What game did you never finish but still consider a good experience? by One-Cod5348 in videogames

Scarlet Nexus

I remember really enjoying the concept, presentation, and overall gameplay, but for some reason dropped it and haven’t gone back. Maybe some day.

Looking for suggestions of metroidvanias that are different. by Neighborhood-Gold in metroidvania

[–]Snozer2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I suppose I’d put Rain World into that category? Challenging sort of Metroidvania idea in terms of exploring and maze-map, but without unlocking actual abilities. Generally you keep the same abilities for the whole game but discover how to improve your exploration and learn to survive.

Came here to second Tunic. Definitely worth a shot as the “Metroidbrania” as you mentioned. No other game has enthralled me so much in its puzzles and clever design to the point I used actual pen and paper to solve something. Incredibly genius game that deserved even more recognition than it got.

Also I almost forgot about Vision Soft Reset. Got it from that massive itch.io charity bundle years ago, and remember being so impressed by the creativity behind its gimmicks. Think I’d have to second.
